I'm hoping for a quiet time, maybe just go to the beach a couple of times, hang out with friends.

Riva 12-11-2007 04:52 AM

Anyone watching the Twenty20 International? How good was Brett Lee's opening bowl. Vincent out for a duck, hehe, sort of anti-climatic after the commentators talked him up.

Apocalyptic Raids 12-11-2007 05:04 AM

I'd just walked into the room after indoor soccer and saw it. Good times.

Riva 12-11-2007 05:09 AM

My mates used to play Footsol, but I know that's somewhat different to indoor soccer, amirite?

Hehe, Gilchrist is on fire tonight. It must look so weird to the other blokes on the team though, having him and Symonds just talking to the commentators randomly. :p Good idea though, having the actual players as the colour commentators.

Apocalyptic Raids 12-11-2007 05:12 AM

What's Footsol?

and yeah it is a bit strange.

edit: you were definitely right about Gilchrist.

Riva 12-11-2007 05:18 AM

It's like indoor soccer but the rules are slightly changed I think. Inter-school comp here in Cairns.

Oh, I'm back home by the way! :D:D

I'm arguing with my friend about which is more boring: cricket or rugby league. It's a very silly conversation.

Apocalyptic Raids 12-11-2007 05:25 AM

Ah, ok.

So have you finished Uni or is it just for holidays?

Rugby League is more exciting to watch and I follow it closer, but idk, I'm more attached to Cricket because I can actually play it.

big80smullet 12-11-2007 05:34 AM

20twenty and one day cricket are awesome, but test matches are gay

Apocalyptic Raids 12-11-2007 05:39 AM

I don't really have a big preference. it's all good really.

blueyxd 12-11-2007 05:42 AM

still havent seen a 20 20.. But I'm sure it's good if Symonds is in there... he's so aggro and suited to the game.

Riva 12-11-2007 05:46 AM

Anyone watching Psych? I just realised that Jom had the star as his avatar for a while. It's pretty good so far.

I dunno man. League is pretty much: Tackle, stand, tackle, stand, tackle, stand, tackle, stand, go for a try or kick, repeat. It's like Gridiron but with skill involved.

Rugby Union is where it's at.

And it's just for Uni holidays, unfortunately.
20twenty and one day cricket are awesome, but test matches are gay
Like Jono said, it's all good to me. Just different atmospheres, so you can do different things whilst watching.

He's pretty witty too, he made some great one-liners when they asked his opinion on stuff.

big80smullet 12-11-2007 05:49 AM

i just dont have 5 days worth of concentration in me. i usually have to booze to watch a one dayer

Riva 12-11-2007 05:57 AM

You don't concentrate on tests though. You just have it on the telly in the background and you do other stuff. You watch it during mealtimes and whenever you take a break from whatever else you're doing, otherwise you just keep an ear out for highlights. At least that's what I do. :p

Apocalyptic Raids 12-11-2007 06:34 AM

Yeah I tend to put Tests on in the background too.

Riva 12-11-2007 06:37 AM

At the stadium for a Test it would be slightly different, I reckon, but then again you'd go with mates and have a drink and a yarn and just enjoy yourself. So really it's almost as if the cricket is on in the background also. :p

Futue te Ipsum 12-11-2007 08:18 AM

I thought only drunken inbreds in the north of England did rugby league. Even there it's collapsing in popularity atm, with tons of players going over to union.

Riva 12-11-2007 08:35 AM

It's the most popular code of Rugby in Australia. But it's the northern drunks that play it, mainly. In the national competition there's only one team from Vic and none from SA,WA, Tas or NT.

And I'm out. Goodnight all.

Neoteric 12-11-2007 10:35 AM

I'm really tired.

gmoneyguy 12-11-2007 10:43 AM

gmoneyguy 12-11-2007 10:48 AM

y... I really need to get an external Hard drive. I only have 18.5 Gig left on my home computer.

Permanent Solution 12-11-2007 10:53 AM

I think after reencoding all my CDs at good bit rates I'll be in the market for another external in not too long :(

I really should just give up and buy one of those 4 TB multimedia servers.

Neoteric 12-11-2007 10:55 AM
y... I really need to get an external Hard drive. I only have 18.5 Gig left on my home computer.
I have less than a gig left, my HD is only about 80GB. :(

But the external I'm getting is 500GB. :)

gmoneyguy 12-11-2007 10:56 AM

Nice. My comp has 80 gig, and I would like an external HD so I don't slow it down.

Txus 12-11-2007 10:56 AM

I have about 150 GB left.

jrowa001 12-11-2007 10:56 AM

Neoteric 12-11-2007 10:57 AM

I plan to put my 30GB of music onto it, I really don't know where that other 50GB went to. :/

pate 12-11-2007 10:57 AM

I have a 400GB external, and about 130GB of stuff on it, so I'm good for awhile.

Just get something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822709013

you'll never need more space again

That's what they said about 100 GB a few years ago :upset:
