I like Rod Stewart's voice, but his music can get on the 40 year old woman side of things.

oooh i did. sorta. well i got 3/4 of the way t hrough it at least.

i actually liked his voice with the jeff beck group. if you and woodstock get a chance, pick up some of beck's new albums as well. theyre a bit more electronic and metallic but theyre quality. expecially "who else?" and "you had it coming".

psh, you guys and your taking cds from parents. i BOUGHT all my jeff beck. haha. well most.
I was actually gonna buy Wired and Blow By Blow yesterday at Best Buy, but no cash. Next week I'll get like 4 cds to make up for it. And I think my dad has Who Else? also, but not sure. Jeff Beck is one of his favorites, so he has a ton of his cds.

Combine both and give them a British accent.

Jam2Me 02-20-2005 06:39 PM

Can someone reccomend me some Stephen Stills, preferably very early stuff. I looked at my Buffalo Springfield CD and I only like the songs by Stills.

Badmoon 02-20-2005 06:44 PM

Stephen Stills - S/t

Jam2Me 02-20-2005 06:47 PM

Fun Fact: He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice in one day for his work with Buffalo Springfield and CSN&Y.

EDIT: Thanks, I'm buying that ASAP.

Well, personally I prefer The Beatles to Miles Davis, but when discussing Miles Davis I don't feel that I have to mention that I like The Beatles more. It's kind of irrelevant. ;)

Stills > Young

IMO, of course.

maddog87 02-20-2005 07:36 PM

the beatles are way better than davis, but their still not on my top 10 list.

Illmatic 02-20-2005 07:38 PM

I prefer Miles to the Beatles.

/is the only person here who thinks so

MalcolmYoungRock 02-20-2005 07:56 PM

jks.
Stephen Stills - S/t
Could you review that? Please.

I probably won't for awhile. I don't have much info on the history of it, nor am I as familar with each song as I'd like to be. I'd have to listen to it more. :)

In time

Jam2Me 02-20-2005 08:26 PM

There would probably be no CSNY without Stills, same goes for Buffalo Springfield.

I agree.

Woodstock 02-20-2005 09:17 PM

I agree with everything Badmoon said about Stills.

Beatles > Miles IMO (though weird to compare)

Jam2Me 02-20-2005 09:20 PM

I thought the Beatles-Miles comparison was to get a point across, I guess I misunderstood lol.

Both of them are sort of the premier artists of their genres.

It was, but we took it out of context and now are making useless posts about it.

Bringing It All Back Home is a gem, too.
