Jezen 08-11-2005 06:24 PM

Haven't graced MX's shores in a while. :naughty:

Heres a pic of what Arbiters unique tuning system looked like (before the whole conspiracy started).

rockindrummer 08-11-2005 06:43 PM

Sweet, that would be an odd way to tune a drum but it looks well different.

Double Bass Jim 08-11-2005 07:00 PM

Thats it! Thats the famous arbiter system the best there is.

The Fiction We Live 08-11-2005 07:06 PM

I like lugs...

RushHourSoul 08-11-2005 07:13 PM

Yeah, the shell looks really bare. However just imagine tuning it, one lug, thats crazy.

rockindrummer 08-11-2005 07:46 PM

The shell, IMO, doesn't look as good it is to bare and naked. Although if it works then screw looks.

Josiah 08-11-2005 07:59 PM

It works. Best tuneable drum design ever.

Ah well, here is me, 5 mins ago. I'm not very good at posing for pictures..

Double Bass Jim 08-11-2005 11:50 PM

Heres one for ya guys, I recorded a side view shot of a thumb driven stroke in trad grip.
http://elementweb.com/upload/uploads/Trad%20Thumb%20Stroke.zip

Comes in handy when you want to kick up to those higher speeds!

Plan B. 08-11-2005 11:57 PM

Damn you have great hands.

Those sticks look like trees.

Josiah 08-12-2005 12:01 AM

Jezen 08-12-2005 03:34 AM

Yesterday, I got rid of my DW 4002's and bought a Big Dog Pro double. Its awesome.

rockindrummer 08-12-2005 03:37 AM

^ Sweet dude. I've heard nothing but good things about Big dog pedals.

Josiah 08-12-2005 04:02 AM
Yesterday, I got rid of my DW 4002's and bought a Big Dog Pro double. Its awesome.
Did your playing improve from the change?

Jezen 08-12-2005 06:09 AM

Ffs Josiah please stop being so ignorant. I KNOW that your playing doesn't change with the equipment. I have said that numerous times now.
I find the pedal alot more comfortable.

stabbinspaghetti 08-12-2005 09:19 AM

hah i like those pedals, atleast the way they look, stupid usa not having them anywhere

well back to that custom drum company i was talking about

"Hi Sarah The stack sets are $1450.00 The regular sets are $1400.00. Theprices for these sets are for a 18" bass the set and a 16" bass drum set. Joe Modern Drum Shop""

so i would imagine you prolly get like a 12'' tom and a 14'' tom, but those prices arent that bad, i may get a stack set one day

Win A Rabbit 08-12-2005 11:12 AM

well my ride to work is late, like i knew she'd be. oh well. todays gonna be a fairly short work day. 12-5. right now i'm working on a song, trying to use every time sig i can, but more importantly, make it flow and sound good. that's the tough part. well im gonna go play drums for 10 minutes before she gets here. bye everyone.

Futuro 08-12-2005 11:17 AM
Yea, I'm usin windex.. maybe I need different paper towls or it just doesn't like me.
dont use paper towels, use news paper then dry with a rubber based cloth (shammy etc.)

stabbinspaghetti 08-12-2005 11:45 AM

hmm newspapers??? i would think they would be to harsh to glass, with the recycledness of them, they have dirt on them alot of times aswell, which can lead to scratching..i would say get some of those blue hardware papertowels, and a shammy, and some good glass cleaner

Josiah 08-12-2005 12:16 PM

^ ah.. interesting that sounds like the way to go.

I'm not keen on that newspaper idea, it leaves ink on my hands.. rub it on the windshield?

stabbinspaghetti 08-12-2005 04:54 PM

hah, where did everyone go?!?!??!?!?!?!?!? ok i over exaggerated, so what?

Josiah 08-12-2005 05:54 PM

Well I weant to the DO to drop off some paper work, and had to go to the Dr's for a TB test.

Just now 4 or 5 big Heuy's or Blackhawks flew over nice and low, friggin loud as heck. The soilders waved at me though, so that's chill.

The joys of living around military bases.
