ew trashy =\

growing up sucks until you're in the job force making mad bank and then it's good until you get lonely and then it sucks until you get married and so on and so forth.
I don't know, man. I really dread the thought of having to work every day and probably come home to my stinking bachelor house.

Please dont mention that. I try to ignore that part of my future.

don't be so self deprecating

I don't wanna leave home in a year. I'll probably just move to Oregon for a year and live with some friends maybe and then go to school in Eugene.

Kage 08-22-2007 09:49 PM

Self deprecation is what it's all about.

GenuineImitation 08-22-2007 09:50 PM

I think i have the perfect situation. Im living out of home, but my school is about 40 minutes away. So when I get home sick or need money/food etc. I can go home whenever I want. I have the best of both worlds so to speak.

Kage 08-22-2007 09:52 PM

But you have a 40 minute commute to school every day. That's no fun.

I think he means that he lives near college, but his original home is only 40 minutes away, so if necessary he can retreat to his loving parents.

I should have been more careful with my words. By living out of home, I meant not living at home. Sorry about the confusion. My apartment is 3 minutes from the campus. it is also near 2 venues that hold rock and metal concerts, as well as a plethora of rock/jazz and blues clubs and Im about 20 minutes from NYC.

EDIT: Yay, Jelle got it!

Kage 08-22-2007 09:59 PM

Oohhhh. Right. That's pretty good.

My home is a good 24 hour drive away. :)

Dont have to worry about unexpected visits then which is a plus.

Riva 08-22-2007 10:02 PM

My current address is about 25 minutes from the campus on a bad day, 15-20 on a good day. Same as up in Cairns. Cairns is a 3.5 to 4 hour drive from Townsville though.

Permanent Solution 08-22-2007 10:04 PM

i live a 20 min bike ride from campus and a 14 hour drive from home.

GenuineImitation 08-22-2007 10:04 PM

A 25 minute commute to campus isnt bad. Im sure it could get annoying though.

Kage 08-22-2007 10:05 PM

I like living in a dorm because I can just come here and kick it any time without having to commute anywhere. I'm a guy who needs downtime rofl

That is what I like to do, but when I timed the drive to the apartment from the main part of campus and the walk from the dorms to the main part, i found that driving was actually shorter.

Riva 08-22-2007 10:12 PM

I just skip lectures. It's easier this way. :p:(

Kage 08-22-2007 10:13 PM

That's the academic thing to do.

 Thats the American way to attend college...do everything half assed.

Kage 08-22-2007 10:14 PM

I've got pretty good classes actually. Two film classes, a German class, a philosophy class and the only bad part is a calculus class.

superpeer 08-22-2007 10:17 PM

Hehe, 24 hour drive.

Driving three hours in any direction would get you out of the country here, maybe even two hours!

Thats not bad. My semester sucks.

Accounting 101
Calc
Statistics
BCIS (A Business and Cmputer Class)
Micro Economics 2

Not really looking forward to the Stats and Calc but thats the only way I can take a Finance class for the spring semester, just in time to make sure that is what I want to do before I officially declare my major in May.

Txus 08-22-2007 10:20 PM

I ****ing hate Calc :(

I'm going to law school next year :)

Kage 08-22-2007 10:21 PM

It takes over twelve hours to drive out of Texas here, lol.

GI, are you thinking about Business or something?

Anglachel 08-22-2007 10:22 PM

Aside from school for a moment, does mediafire still have that "temporary" 100 MB limit?

GenuineImitation 08-22-2007 10:23 PM
It takes over twelve hours to drive out of Texas here, lol.

Yeah sort of. Im thinking about a Finance major and then go to Law School for Corporate Law. Or maybe just get my MBA in Finance. I still have another 2 years to think about that though.

Whats your intended major?

Kage 08-22-2007 10:24 PM

Film production, 100%. It's the reason I came out to California. This school has incredible film facilities, it's great.

Most of my friends are film majors. It seems like a very interesting field.

Oh, I forgot to ask. How is your roomate (and possible suitemates if you are in a suite)?
