after the statment he makes at the end of urethachronicles 2. "we ill keep making records for ever even when people use them as toilet paper cause itll be the best toilet paper going around. "

i hope he doesnt go back on that statement :upset:

sometimes i think his comedic lines are pre rehearsed and overused. I think tom must have a few bad bones in his body, esp to make it the way they did in such a tough industry. :thumb:

That dosnt mean he'll keep making them with blink, he could do solo work, get box car back together, make a different band, who knows.

_Brian_ 07-24-2005 05:39 AM

they were good until Enema of the State. No wonder Scott Raynor left the band, he knew they were going go do the drain.

Bad Blood 07-24-2005 09:31 AM

I didnt mind TOYPAJ but i was a bit disappointed

Tjebby 07-24-2005 09:54 AM

They were good up and until the split. Their self-titled is a great album, TOYPAJ is a great album, EOTS is a great album. Musically wise I like them alot. Musicianship wise, they are simple. But who cares, simplicity in their case equals great music.

albert_bass 07-24-2005 10:29 AM
answering albert bass, I completely disagree with you. In My mind, The latest Blink Album was the best Stockholm Syndrome,Asthiena, and Violence are my favorite blink songs, and the offspring are still as good as ever. It's all just a matter of opinion I guess, But For me it would be wonderful if they made another record like S/T.
Of course it's a matter of opinion and I fucking hate what Blink and the Offspring have become.

Bad Blood 07-24-2005 10:58 AM

I'm not too bothered about the offspring, but what blink have become annoys me.

cobert 07-24-2005 01:53 PM

I liked the new blink CD, but i agree that they should just stop now.

dancetomdance182 07-24-2005 02:16 PM

I think blink should go on. No one ever thought that Green Day would come back 10 years after Dookie, and make another awesome album.

*DAN* 07-24-2005 02:18 PM

Hey all!! my veiws on blink on there newsest album is that the music has definately matured up!! but i think it has given Travis a really good position to arise and prove his skill from the rest of the band! im not dissin Mark or tom cos i know they have too but not as much as Travis!!!! i call there new album experimental because its not the real blink cos we all know them as really cool, funny guys on stage but they never are anymore!! the music is definately still amazing and very influencial!! i think anyway!!

I think they all have the potential to create much better more professional music in the future but i think they have to find time with there other halfs and stuff which is kinda difficult. anywaus lets see what other ppl think on here!!

Check it out

Dan.

Holy shit, every sentence spare 1 in that post ends with an exclamation.

Anyways, welcome to the forums, if you're planning on staying.

Hi.

About your comment, i think blink still are funny, i saw them on there last tour before they split in the uk, and i thaught they was very funny. They didnt make jokes inbetween every song, but it was still enjoyable.

*DAN* 07-24-2005 02:57 PM

yeah they are funny

but sometimes it felt like they didnt wanna be there and not enjoying there selfs sometimes but hey im not dissin them cos i ****in love em and i think they are awesome

Best band ever i think and funniest!!!

...When have they gone?

What a stupid post.
Hmm, Blink have annoyed me a bit recently, its like a cant listen to them..

greenday put on a beter show, but its exactly the same everytime. And Bj controdicts him self, he was said not to follow rules, or the crowd, or listen to everyone, and trying to be some sort of anarcist. Then what does he do, make the whole crowd go "hey ho" every 10 seconds. Ive been to 2 blink shows, i have numoures live recordings, and live videos, and the whole of the sydney day thing, and each show is differnt, they might play the same songs, but inbetween the songs its different. From what ive seen on TV, heard from people who have seen greenday, 2 or 3 times, etc, they do the exact same thing over and over, just gets boring.

Bad Blood 07-24-2005 03:41 PM

Yeah, i know they don't change the show, bu i've only seen them once, and they blew me away! I saw them on mtv this morning on rock am or something and it was pretty much the same as Milton Keynes. I've heard blink play live a few times, i havent seen them live though.
Its a tough decision. But greenday have the upper hand with me.

*DAN* 07-24-2005 03:47 PM

i think blink are much better live to be fair there music is much tighter and so much cleaner. they are funnier and more better to put it straight.

chumpradio 07-24-2005 03:48 PM

That is true. If you see Green Day once, they will be better.
But then you realise they do the same at every show.
Blink always have new jokes to tell, and every recording I have they say different things. Although the first time I saw them they were terrible, both musically and in that they didn't talk to the crowd.

Bad Blood 07-24-2005 03:49 PM
i think blink are much better live to be fair there music is much tighter and so much cleaner. they are funnier and more better to put it straight.
Its all a matter of opinion.
Plus, i think Greenday are better musically live.
I've heard from quite a few people that blink suck live musicaly.

Mute Print 07-24-2005 03:50 PM

I think Green Day and Blink 182 both put on great live shows. For some reason, a lot of people say that Blink isn't that good live, but I thought they were great. And Green Day was awesome when I saw them as well, although a lot of people said they were good live.

Manchester, Feb '04?

chumpradio 07-24-2005 03:53 PM
Manchester, Feb '04?
Yup.
Although the December show made up for it. Just because of how cool Mark was.

dancetomdance182 07-24-2005 04:21 PM

Actually, Mark looks like he actually wants to be at the shows and enjoys playing.
