I'm the only new mod choice ever.

Because I've got inside connections and all.

/lies

Burt, you should get the new Patton record of me sometime. Iz sooo bad.

SubtleDagger 04-10-2006 05:12 PM

Later tonight, probably, I'm about to go to work.

pixiesfanyo 04-10-2006 05:30 PM

Enjoy the groceries.

FA 04-10-2006 09:57 PM

Hi, how's everybody doing?

RollerQueen 04-10-2006 10:29 PM

Getting rid of 3-year-old memories is fun!

SubtleDagger 04-10-2006 10:32 PM

So you killed an infant?

RollerQueen 04-10-2006 10:58 PM

Close. I threw out some stuff from my senior year of high school.

SubtleDagger 04-10-2006 11:06 PM

Ugh, high school. I dropped out and got my GED senior year. High school blows.

FA 04-10-2006 11:09 PM

I'm about ready to be finished with High School and I guess I nearly am. Graduate in May...:)

SubtleDagger 04-11-2006 12:34 AM

New guide stickied. It took like an hour to write but maybe it will help some people improve.

ATC 04-11-2006 01:59 AM

Sweet guide, Burt. I have a feeling at least a few of my crits will be just links to that. It's been one of those trough months where nothing I've seen posted in the forum's worth a second look. Should help quite a bit.

drumass04 04-11-2006 09:04 AM

Nice work Subtle :)

I'm finally writing again...nearly a month of stalemate is over :D

Also managed to get my work experience sorted, about 3 months after everyone else is. I'm going to work in a theatre in a city near by, should be awesome...I'm going to be mainly on the lights (I do a load of lighting in theatre for shows and concerts anyway, it's going to be awesome!!)

Hope you're all well,

Timmy P

How about merging ATC's guide (minus the comments) with the new one and creating like an über-blurb? Maybe create a table of contents with links if it ever gets really big. It'd be one less sticky on the front page.

Sweet guide, though.

Girlfriends are lame?

If I did do that I'd have to delete all the comments. Most of them aren't actually as helpful as they should be.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 04-12-2006 05:42 PM

I'm now an official college drop out... maybe I'll start writing again.

Yay!! It's fun isn't it. Hooray for drop-outs!!
I'm now an official college drop out... maybe I'll start writing again.
What classes did you drop out of?

metaliq 04-12-2006 09:51 PM

Haha.
Drop out?
Psh. Why dont you just start... dropping... BABIES!

That sucked. Forgive me.

FA 04-12-2006 11:06 PM

Yea, it wasn't good...

APS what made you decide to drop out?
I'm now an official college drop out... maybe I'll start writing again.
Psh. Now you're just copying me.

But start writing again anyway.

A_Perfect_Sonnet 04-13-2006 08:30 AM

I dropped out due to a lot of personal stuff. Dissatisfaction with staff, classes, and environment played a role though. I picked the wrong university in general. It's okay though, I'm going to be able to explain it as a mental health issue so that it wont adversely affect my standing with the college. I'm going to take the time off to go to community college, get a job, finally sit down and write an acoustic album. Just a break from everything to figure out what it is I want to do with myself.

In other cool news, I'm playing a show with Trophy Scars and Vena Amori at the end of June. w00t

metaliq 04-13-2006 12:44 PM

Noice noice!

I like community college.
It's easy.
And my professors are nice.

So shucks. No one critiqued what I wrote yesterday.
18 people looked though.
Sigh.

IOWNU200 04-13-2006 02:15 PM

hey, i'm gonna try and start posting more often, anyone got any suggestions for some good new writers to look for?

It's a start Ty. I think your name scares off the newcomers. "GAWSH, HIS NAME AINT WORDS AT ALL, IT'S SOME SORT OF... HYUCK... COMPOUND WORD. I BETTER STAY AWAY."

FA 04-13-2006 03:42 PM

You're playing a show with Trophy Scars? Nice..

DeadReligion 04-13-2006 06:35 PM

Oh, I'm good. Lol, or so some say. Anyway, I dig Drumass' stuff, when he's around, APS, RollerQueen, Sloth (Where ever the hell he went...), yeah...not too many good ones I can think of. Ben, I don't know who they are, but congratulations.

Those people aren't new. Maybe excepting Drumass'

drumass04 04-13-2006 08:53 PM

Thanks DR :)

I will get round to crit'ing your piece, but everything is kinda catching up on me, and the past couple of days I've been shattered.

I'm also at a stalemate with myself, I've got what seems to be writer's block. Hopefully I'll get back into it soon. I've gone back to reading all my old favourites for inspiration; Pope, Longfellow, Wordsworth, and of course a little bit of Shakespeare.

Any other writers you could suggest?

Things in my life are starting to come together so you never know there might be words of joy and happiness being scrawled down onto my notepads!

Hope you're all well,

Timmy P

drumass04 04-13-2006 09:15 PM
