Alk, great band. I've been listening to pretty much them exclusivly the past couple of days. I'm currently listening to Death Bed.

I don't have a favorite album, I love all of their stuff.

One of my favourite bands ever, i wish they would stop being so goth/emo and going back to wearing casual clothes and singing about getting drunk. They have an excellent, unique sound.

They can never be emo.

If your girlfriend breaks up with you:
Typical emo song - "You stole my heart and now I watch you let it bleed and the blood blossoms into the pure white of my soul which you have shredded with the razorblades or your kiss... bla bla bla."
Typical Trio song - "Step 1: Slit my throat, Step 2: Play in my blood, Step 3: Cover me in dirty sheets and run laughing out of the house, Step 4: Stop off at Edgebrook Creek and rinse your crimson hands, you took me hostage and made your demands, I couldn't meet them so you cut off my fingers, one by one... this could be love..."

See? They can't be emo, emos sing about how girls broke their hearts and they cry about it. The Trio just down 23 beers and write a song about how this girl is a bitch and they want to kill her.

There is a difference you know.

They are starting to look quite gay though..

They've brought out the eyeliner and make up... and even the gay shirts and ties etc.

I like wearing shirts.

Alkaline Trio would be hypocrites if they wrote about being totally drunk anymore...they've all either stopped or cut down to almost no alcohol and im pretty sure they dont do drugs anymore...so they write about history (manson family murders with Sadie, etc.) and stuff now.

derek is vegetarian and lactose intolerant.

nothing wrong with shirts and ties.

plus Trio usually have damn sharp suits lately, not the scruffy kind of emo shirt/tie combo with skintight jeans

I have respect for a band if they're good these days. I honestly dont care how popular they are or how they look anymore, as long as they make good music.

Your welcome. I did the image obsessed emo thing when I was like 15. Now I listen to a band before deciding how I feel about them (Eg: The Used, whom I hate with a passion).

I think its a process of growing up, and becoming VERY disollutioned with the music industry and youth scene these days.

Oh, erm. Wearing me Alkaline Trio "Coffins" T-Shirt today. I have 3 now.

New South Park comes from the internetz. The ginger people episode is from Series 9 which is being shown in the US at the moment. I think. I get mine from my housemate's computer, via our network :cool:
