I just watched a documentary about Shane MacGowan, so I'm Pogue-ing it up right now.
Is that the If I Should Fall From Grace With God DVD, or something else entirely?

Tomahawk 12-20-2004 09:54 AM

It was called "If I Should Fall From Grace - The Shane MacGowan Story", but it wasn't a DVD, it was just on regular television.

It was basically just interviews with Shane and his family and band members and Nick Cave. Pretty interesting though, he's an amazing dude with an amazing liver.

wheelz 12-20-2004 10:26 AM

i've been listening to boards of canada a lot lately. everything by them. but mostly "music has the right to children," because, well, it's just amazing.

6Stringer 12-20-2004 12:06 PM

i've been listening to suicide machines, streetlight manifesto & catch 22. ska is definetly one of my favorite genres of music now.

Ah, cool. I think it's available on DVD, which is good, because the chances of my seeing it on TV are miniscule :(

I'd recommend reading A Drink With Shane MacGowan, if you can, it's very good.
Odelay is pointless in a world that has Paul's Boutique.
in a world that compares the two albums there is no need for both, since people will make unneeded comments like that.

Tangy zizzle 12-20-2004 03:22 PM

I do a lot of smoking, and I kinda like music, so I amalgamated the 2.

Fun game, Guess what happened next?

Well_Respected_Man 12-20-2004 03:24 PM

You called the stereo a faggot.

Tangy zizzle 12-20-2004 03:25 PM

No.

Well_Respected_Man 12-20-2004 03:26 PM

Loozer.

Master Arkam Kannon 12-20-2004 03:27 PM

you pissed on the stereo.

Tangy zizzle 12-20-2004 04:01 PM

No. I listened to Exile On Main St. It just seemed appropriate.

makeshift 12-20-2004 04:04 PM

I've been listening to Elliott Smith, and The Shins quite a bit today.

br3ad_man 12-20-2004 06:30 PM

Hey, you're new and you used two "t's".

*gives rep*

wheelz 12-20-2004 07:18 PM

how does this reputation thing work, i'm so confused...

Zappa 12-20-2004 07:22 PM

The little squre with the check marke and the x in the left corner of every post allows you to either positively or negatively repute any member based on a particular post. Based on how much reputation you yourself have, the user "repped" will gain or lose different amounts on their total.

Tangy zizzle 12-20-2004 09:32 PM

Red Eyed Legends
Helmet

Also, Rolling Stones' Exile On Main St. has just finished playing for the 3rd time today. I think I've nearly grasped it's greatness.

Iai 12-21-2004 01:48 PM

Today I have been mostly listening to various things from this year, in preperation for a list of 2004's best album I'm going to make. Right now - Keane. Fun times.

Tangy zizzle 12-21-2004 03:14 PM

Keane are horrible.

Zappa 12-21-2004 03:24 PM

The New Pornographers!

I got this album (Mass Romantic) a few months ago, and never gave it a listen. Now that I have, I wish I would have earlier. Pure indie pop bliss.
Hate to say I told you so a huh!
You told me about them?

Well_Respected_Man 12-21-2004 04:55 PM
You told me about them?
Yeah, remember I told you to get it off someone with a 130 download rate and the whole album only took like 10 minutes to download.

Zappa 12-21-2004 04:58 PM

Ok. I couldn't remember who it was who told me to do that.

Luxor 12-21-2004 05:26 PM

I'm listening to "Full Collapse" by Thursday right now.

Zappa 12-21-2004 05:49 PM

I got two tracks by Lydia Lunch. Her music is incredibly DREARY, but it left me wanting more. So here's to the search.

Well_Respected_Man 12-21-2004 06:14 PM

The Ugly Ducklings new album Taste the Secret is a huge guilty pleasure right now.

Tangy zizzle 12-21-2004 09:19 PM

Just bought Smile. It's good.

br3ad_man 12-21-2004 10:57 PM

^^^
I was going to get that yesterday for a christmas present for my mum. I actually couldn't find it at K-mart or Target. How wierd is that? They had like 10 million copies a month ago.
