Destruct 06-01-2004 09:56 PM

I got into it with my girlfriend tonight, and started digging **** up, because I was going to "leave", and I found Kill 'Em All bootlegs, ****in Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightning tapes, I found all sorts of awesome ****.

She begged me not to go anywhere, and naturally I didn't.

I hate fighting, but if this is what it takes to find more of my old stuff, I should do it more often.

Also found an SoD tape. Awesome.

LordDargon 06-02-2004 06:19 AM

hahahahahahahahahahaha, that's classic, finding all your old tapes

"SHUT UP YOU BITCH" ooh, a KEA tape!

JMetallica 06-02-2004 07:09 AM
That's actually kind of funny, reminds me of a story.

One time in highschool, we were sitting around in class on a free day, thrashing about to the loudest **** imagineable, and there was this girl who was trying to show off her hair, so she starts banging her head about, and she slams it into a desk and falls over. She was bleeding and paramedics came and stuff, and she never came back to school.

I know it was probably embaressing to her, but we thought it was the funniest thing ever, simply because she was a real bitch. Later we thought it was pretty cool.
Haha! You didn't have Bonded By Blood cranked, did you? :p

Hehe, that'll teach non metal people to thrash.

Download Dark Angel - We have arrived... you may like that better. It's more in the traditional thrash mould.

LordDargon 06-02-2004 07:13 AM

WHA and DD both kick as.s, WHA is kind of like early slayer. But yeah whatever, get them both. And for technical thrash, "Time Does not Heal" is supposed to be really good.

manuscriptreplica 06-02-2004 07:57 AM

There's blood up on the *desk*, bang your head against the *desk*

Griffin_Page 06-02-2004 10:15 PM

Haha, that's a great story. Nothing like that happens around here tho.. I'm getting my drummer friend into thrash, but other than that not many other people around here even know it exists. I've got a couple other friends who like it, but they prefer power, newer black metal and stuff, which isn't bad, but they also dig the nu-metal. Crappy.

LordDargon 06-03-2004 08:03 AM

^ Yeah, it's weird. On the forums, every single god-da.mned person knows and loves Slayer. In real life (around here) people have no idea whatsoever what it is. I pity them immensely. Subhumans.

Toozey 06-03-2004 09:35 AM

Why dont you introduce it to them varg?

ThrashMaster27 06-03-2004 09:42 AM

A fair few people know Slayer in my music group, which is nice.

Griffin_Page 06-03-2004 10:55 AM

I don't mind what they like the most, stuff like Children of Bodom, Kalmah, Cradle of Filth, etc... in fact, I really like some of that stuff. But, I supposed I'm destined to be a loner when it comes to thrash around here.

LordDargon 06-03-2004 12:00 PM

Toozey: I tried, but they all called me a satan worshipper and ran off intul I turned it off. No, really, they did.

superpeer 06-03-2004 03:10 PM

Griffin, if you read this before sting-ray arrives, delete your post in the dream band thread. Or you'll be banned again.
Toozey: I tried, but they all called me a satan worshipper and ran off intul I turned it off. No, really, they did.
That doesn't really surprise me.

manuscriptreplica 06-03-2004 06:37 PM

You gotta show em Metallica first if you want to introduce them to heavier stuff. They are a perfect gateway. Then BOOM chuck some Dying Fetus on. Hehehe.

Have you noticed there are like 3 people with avatars in that thread?

To save me from banning, I will post mine here.

Vocals - Tom Araya
Lead - Tommy Baron
Rhythm - Mille Petrozza
Bass - Guy from Dark Angel
Drums - Charlie Benante

Griffin_Page 06-03-2004 09:45 PM

Thanks for the warning Peer. I'm too nice at school for people to think im real evil.. they know i love the occult and crap, but i still hang out with everybody and flirt with the girls.. small towns kick ***.

LordDargon 06-04-2004 04:34 AM

Vio-lence's "Oppressing the Masses" is excellent thrash with sh.itloads of riffs and good drumming and good solos. Get it now!

(be warned, the vocals are like megadeth, but more so.)

manuscriptreplica 06-04-2004 04:55 AM

Rust in Peace is the best Thrash album ever.

DisposableHeroes 06-04-2004 05:05 AM
Rust in Peace is the best Thrash album ever.
I ordered that a few days ago off amazon, is the whole album good or are there a few tracks i should skip?

madthumbs 06-04-2004 05:28 AM

whatdoyou guys think fo the new megadeth album's title "The System Has Failed"?

LordDargon 06-04-2004 05:34 AM

Heroes: I find myself skipping Lucretia and Dawn Patrol.

Thumbz: is that gonna be it? Sounds good, sounds like we get more political rant :thumb:

DisposableHeroes 06-04-2004 05:44 AM

I also got bonded by blood, the new death angel (i'll get ultra-violence soon) and extreme agression
^ Yeah, it's weird. On the forums, every single god-da.mned person knows and loves Slayer. In real life (around here) people have no idea whatsoever what it is. I pity them immensely. Subhumans.
A lot of times when I'm in school my friends yell SLAYER, at me. I think its kind of funny, but at the same time I think it kind of sucks because my musical tastes are way more varied than Slayer. People think that I only listen to heavy stuff, when that is not the case.
Vio-lence's "Oppressing the Masses" is excellent thrash with sh.itloads of riffs and good drumming and good solos. Get it now!
:thumb:

manuscriptreplica 06-04-2004 09:13 AM

AHH Lucretia is my favourite song.

Every song on the album is great. Except for that dang Hangar 18. Too pop-punkish for me. But it's still a good song. There are no weak songs.

The new Megadeth should be called 'Dave gets his guitar back' or something...

superpeer 06-04-2004 09:16 AM

I've heard the Megadeth cover of Anarchy in the UK a few days ago, it was pretty good. The original is just a tad better though. :)

manuscriptreplica 06-04-2004 09:36 AM

The Sex Pistols destroyed punk.

Ramones \m/

superpeer 06-04-2004 09:36 AM

They're both good, but I prefer the pistols. :p

manuscriptreplica 06-04-2004 09:47 AM

Pistols struggle. I don't like the way they made punk all ghey. Ramones, however, could easily have passed as metal heads!! \m/ And Beat on the Brat owns you all.

superpeer 06-04-2004 09:52 AM

Perhaps, but they were just damned catchy.

Ratmevilempire 06-04-2004 03:22 PM

Hey, I'm back!,Sex Pistols blow Ramones pwn them. Also on Rust in Peace i always skip dawn patrol and Take no Prisoners. Also,I got tickets to see Priest and Slayer Aug 18th at the molson ampitheatre in Toronto!AHAHAHAHAHA I mock you dargon:lol: That show is gonna kick so much ***.It'll be like the 2 bands I would've gone to see at OZZfest in a smaller venue with better sound. And i dont really like the new Deth album title.Just my opinion.

milano mosh 06-04-2004 03:32 PM
The Sex Pistols destroyed punk.

Ramones \m/
Yeah I agree. The Pistols were all about image, were as the Ramones were about fun. I still enjoy listening to the Pistols though.
