The vocals on Mirrors were soooooo good.

But yeah Of Malice is their best.

witchxrapist 10-19-2009 01:52 PM

Wooooord.

Itwasthatwas 10-19-2009 01:54 PM

Of Malice is definitely their best. I remember seeing them play a tiny show in the basement of a local record store right before it was released and being blown away, great experience.

Nepenthe 10-19-2009 01:56 PM

nah mirrors is better

i remember when it first came out and i would listen to the failsafe like 20 times in a row rolling my nuts off was like heaven

Jesse Zaraska > new guy.

And yeah, The Failsafe, Anchor, Migrate, etc. are awesome songs, but Of Malice doesn't have all the filler material Mirrors does.

Plus, none of their songs have impacted me like The Year Summer Ended In June.

Si1v3RfaNg 10-19-2009 02:10 PM

Currently digging Rifles at Recess and Unbroken.

Xplisit 10-19-2009 02:11 PM

but not converge

thats just there so i look trendy n shi

lol

witchxrapist 10-19-2009 02:14 PM

thats uncalled for

Si1v3RfaNg 10-19-2009 02:17 PM
thats uncalled for
Pretty much, but yeah I'm digging that too, just not as much as Rifles at Recess.

Nepenthe 10-19-2009 02:17 PM
Jesse Zaraska > new guy.
definitely. dude on mirrors has a really bland voice, but the music is just so incredible that it doesnt matter. theyre passable, which is good enough.

witchxrapist 10-19-2009 02:18 PM

i think his vocals are really good, just jesse seems more like... distressed idk.

Xplisit 10-19-2009 02:21 PM

i always thought the dig feature was used to display the album you're digging the most. seems that Axe to Fall isnt that album for you, user si1v3RfaNg, you just have it there for elitist appreciation! i know my calling you out isn't called for, but neither is your fagism!

Nepenthe 10-19-2009 02:22 PM
Plus, none of their songs have impacted me like The Year Summer Ended In June.
and thats the way the failsafe is with me. the lyrics, the music, everything about it really had a strong impact me when that album first came out.
i think his vocals are really good, just jesse seems more like... distressed idk.
this and more unique IMO.

Xplisit 10-19-2009 03:21 PM

listening to Luce, the album isn't new to me, yet I still feel inclined to say that these are the best metalcore breakdowns evar!
i think his vocals are really good, just jesse seems more like... distressed idk.
yeah i thought jesse gave a much more honest, emotional performance than the new guy. in mirrors' defense though, some of the textures and layered stuff going on on that album surpasses anything they managed to create on Of Malice. like you said before, I think the big point Of Malice has over Mirrors is that its a solid album start to finish where Mirrors has a few filler tracks.

How empty it feels
When one can't even
Forge a path to the door

This illusion
Of running around
With my arms wide open

I embrace this feeling
That nothing else is real

****'s legit

HighandDriving 10-19-2009 04:45 PM

Checked out that failsafe song, not bad, maybe they aren't that gay.

Always lumped em in with ABR and Mappy ****.

Nepenthe 10-19-2009 04:46 PM

thats because youre an idiot

Xplisit 10-19-2009 04:46 PM

totehmax

HighandDriving 10-19-2009 04:48 PM

IDK guys, my BA in Crim disagrees.

Moving on, which is their least gay album.

Nepenthe 10-19-2009 04:50 PM

my BA in sniffing out retards agrees

mirrors is the best though popular opinion seems to be of malice and magnum heart

but my opinion is obv the right one

HighandDriving 10-19-2009 04:51 PM

Preferably a rec by someone who doesn't listen to BMTH.

witchxrapist 10-19-2009 04:54 PM

Good burn.

DBlitz 10-19-2009 04:55 PM

listening to horse's new album just to see what the fuss is about

its already pretty gay

witchxrapist 10-19-2009 04:56 PM

Listening to Circle Takes The Square, they have metall-y moments and don't fit this thread at all, but Non-Objective Portrait Of Karma is the ****.

asSi1v3RfaNgsburn 10-19-2009 04:56 PM
Preferably a rec by someone who doesn't listen to BMTH.
