I prepared my speakers to an optimal volume, then blanked everything out.

Wonder what the official line will be on this, as it does seem to be a DJ making a power move for listeners come monday. Hopefully it'll make it to monday without leaking fully now.

I don't want to listen to it all because I told myself I wanted to wait until I had the album to hear it. I know I'm going to crack and listen to it, I just know it.

slow part is like the bridge part in lateralus.

heavy part is like disturbed or something.

Ill play it to my 2 Tool-fan friends, then it'll either get deleted, or shoved away in an odds and end folder.

I view this as the mini movie trailer, where you dont get enough to know its overall quality, but enough to build excitement. The single will be the full advertisement for the feature.

Normally hearing things compared to Disturbed get my vote of no confidence, but I see where you're coming from. (and to be fair, Disturbed instrumental parts are fairly good at times)

i didn't actually get my guitar out. But i was guessing the notes based on how they fit in other songs and i'm pretty sure i could tab it if i just pulled my guitar out.

So i'm half guilty i suppose.

My disturbed point was more on the speed of the music, it still has tool elements but it ha that kind of feel that disturbed give off...and yeah the 10k days/fists link still amuses me. :)

No radio stations will play it, 'cept maybe Zane Lowe on Radio 1 but that's a long shot.

The clip did help me reminisce past Tool songs, and it still manages to hold its own character. It is utter Tool, though, no doubt about that..

Was it me, or was that Adam on a voicebox going towards the end of the clip, or maybe a distorted Maynard..? Either way, I'm f u c king stoked about the full song..

Well, that clip got me a little excited, i want the whole damn song though, 30 seconds is nothing. The 'atmophere' at the begining was nice, different for Tool, it sounded more positive than most of their songs, and it had a different vibe than anything they've recorded.
