Pixies - Trompe le Monde

jadester48 01-08-2008 07:08 AM

Not exactly indie, i know, but i'm working my way through the Megadeth i've got (most of their studio albums). Loving it! Even their most recent release, United Abominations, is good. Thinking of going to see them when they play nearby during their tour in support of that album =+)
don't worry, i'll be getting back to the indie stuff soon

jacyfarrow 01-08-2008 08:48 AM

not really indie,....more like indie bluegrass?
Have you heard of Ghost Mice?
Yep have their split with Defiance, Ohio. good stuff but didn't think they'd be as closely related.

And to the guy who said there's no Anti Folk Scene:Troll's = Lame.

asdf 01-08-2008 07:07 PM

Well I'd recomend Mischief Brew but it might not be as folky as you're looking for.

try Rosa and Saw Wheel

Little Man being Erased 01-09-2008 04:10 AM

Shellac - Excellent Italian Greyhound

Not sure what I think of this after my first listen. Certainly very different compared to At Action Park. I'll have to give it a few more spins before passing judgement.

samthebassman 01-09-2008 05:24 AM

Soulwax - Most Of The Remixes We've Made For People Over The Years...
Nice one man. Nux Vomica is a really great album. Keep spinning it and let it grow though. And I agree about the last couple tracks - it does seem to taper off a little.
Actually I made it to track 9 and recognised it from an earlier listen, so I guess it's better than I thought. To be honest I tend to get to the end of "Nux Vomica" and skip back to listen to it again, is the thing.
Boris - Feedbacker

part 3 is better than most of their "rock" songs
True! I think. I'm not really sure which bit's which.

Justice - symbol album thingy

Yes, I'm just doing what I'm told, really. Only just got it but it seems quite good so far.

Still needs a lot more listening but it sounds really promising. I love this band.
