What connection you got 56k?

It will take 1 hour for me to download this. It's at 65% now and it took about 40 minutes. So about 20 more minutes or so.

fatbandit 07-27-2005 12:54 PM

Its not a Dave solo. They're both Kirk solos. Dave didn't record any on KEA, and Kirk only played the opening bars of the solos the same, and then went his own way (usually following what Dave did slightly, for consistency).

Haha, having Cliff 'Em All on DVD gets round all this downloading stuff :p

And it may be worth every penny, but guess who needs guitar leads, and is otherwise skint?

:(

:smash:

Britton 07-27-2005 01:08 PM

Okay I'll download it

who hasn't got drunk?

Britton 07-27-2005 01:11 PM

I can't get it to come up

what am I doing wrong?

It says it's been removed by another user
or is over it's bandwidth...naw

I remember someone saying Dave recorded two solos on KEA, including the first solo on The Four Horsemen. I might be wrong. So anyways, the 2nd solo in the Four Horsemen is easy

Yea, I've been trying to switch to DSL or Cable but my sister is attached to aol... they have dsl now too but the cheaper is only half the speed of DSL. 56K sucks. Let's see.. 2% done, 683.5 MB left, only goin 4.75 KB/Sec... it'll take forever (aka 48 hrs and 30 mins)

The_dude 07-27-2005 01:37 PM
So lets make this a cool metallica thread, were EVERYTHING is allowed. You can flame, talk about how much you love st anger, your fvorite solos, everything....this will be like the death heads thread (4500+) and everything death goes in it...
this is the same idea. i mean, **** there aren't that many death threads, and they ahve a sprecial thread, so wouldn't it make alot more sense to have a metallica Offical thread.
METALLICA ISNT REALLY DEATH METAL!!! unlees ur talking about there new crap that suks its the old stuff

He didn't say Metallica are death metal. You've read the post, now try understanding it.
Their newer material isn;t death metal eiter. And it doesn't suck, you just don't like it. Believe it or not, the world doesn't revolve around your tastes.

PepsiMetal 07-27-2005 01:41 PM

How many hundreds of pages is that ramsey's post back actually?

hethamulburton 07-27-2005 01:41 PM

He said like the Death Metal thread, as in that you can flame, blame, and shame, as well as talk good about the band. The Dude, you need to read a little better.
Pepsi, it was prob on the first or second page.

The_dude 07-27-2005 01:43 PM

ok
well that other dude was right the new stuff is not bad some kind of monster is my fav new song tho

FlyingPaul_83 07-27-2005 01:43 PM

The_dude 07-27-2005 01:45 PM

lars ulrich is a beast hes one of the top 5 or 3 80's metal drummers

Huber 07-27-2005 01:47 PM
lars ulrich is a beast hes one of the top 5 or 3 80's metal drummers
Sorry to break it to you, but he's top nothing when it comes to drummers.

Easily better metal drummers from the 80s:

Gene Hoglan
Dave Lombardo
Nick Menza
Nicko McBrain

Just to show you, there is much better drummers than Lars, and he's just average to begin with.

The_dude 07-27-2005 01:48 PM

who the f**k are those guys anyways i dont know so they suk

DaveTheAmazing 07-27-2005 01:49 PM

OK, what is James trying to do here??

PepsiMetal 07-27-2005 01:49 PM

Even joey from slipknot, which is a nu-metal band, is easily better than lars.
http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZmetQ5fclub

Nice find. That looks rather interesting. Or fake. Maybe James is selling that himself. lol

Kidding? Right, I hope you are.

Huber 07-27-2005 01:51 PM

Oh boy...

Well:

Nicko McBrain - Iron Maiden
Gene Hoglan - Various amazing bands, but in the 80s Dark Angel
Dave Lombardo - Slayer
Nick Menza - Megadeth

If you want me to keep going I'll make a long running list of Rock/Metal drummers far better than Lars.

The_dude 07-27-2005 01:51 PM

looks like james really does kill them all lol

The_dude 07-27-2005 01:52 PM

i know who nicko mcbrain from iron maiden and megadeth but i dont listen to death or alot of power metal so i dont know those drummer

Ha yep, and just before Lars, comes James, trashed, James sober, is about 200 more above Lars. Puts them in like 1000000000th place.
Takes into consideration years and years of drummers to come.

Huber 07-27-2005 01:54 PM
i know who nicko mcbrain from iron maiden and megadeth but i dont listen to death or alot of power metal so i dont know those drummer
Well, the fact is Lars isn't a very good drummer at all. No where near being on any top list either.

The_dude 07-27-2005 01:54 PM

i bet about half of the people here listen to metallica's new stuff and only a few the old

hethamulburton 07-27-2005 01:55 PM

I bet your wrong. I bet half listen to old stuff, some both, and the rest the new.

The_dude 07-27-2005 01:55 PM

ok prove it

FlyingPaul_83 07-27-2005 01:55 PM
i know who nicko mcbrain from iron maiden and megadeth but i dont listen to death or alot of power metal so i dont know those drummer
Megadeth isn't death metal

They are thrash metal, if you like 80's metal so much, I'm suprised you don't know who they are.

Mister_Che 07-27-2005 01:55 PM
i bet about half of the people here listen to metallica's new stuff and only a few the old
Try the other way around. :)

Huber 07-27-2005 01:56 PM
i bet about half of the people here listen to metallica's new stuff and only a few the old
Yeah, that's just false. I only have the 80s albums, The Black Album, and St. Anger.

Welcome to MX, the forum full of real music fans. We know what were talking about. Stick around, you'll learn a lot of new and cool bands, and open your mind to tons of new music.

hethamulburton 07-27-2005 01:56 PM
ok prove it
Read the thread before you, tell me how many I love St. Anger guys as compared to I love pre- Load era Metallica.
