So... has the album been leaked yet?

Its going to be leaked on May 1st in the UK. Some record company will release a bunch of disks containing the songs, but you'll have to pay for it and wait till then sadly.

Im confident they'll make it to Monday with no leaks anyway

They've made it this far, tons of bands stuff get's leaked way before this. I'm thinking a a leak a week before at very most, probably a day or two before if at all.

Also, today is when the press-contractual deal ends, so anyone that has heard it can post reviews. Just found a german based one, but apart from knowing the German for 5 stars, im lost as to what it says.

It will take many listens to be able to arrange (read: digest) that lunacy in the own head. But this time of discovery is actually the most beautiful.

If there's one word I'd use to describe what I think the album will be like (based on the cover art, etc.), it would be "enigmatic."

Maybe that's a good word for Tool in general, though.

It was just that Doom 3 track that sounds like Lateralus though. I fell for it.

Same here..I can't seem to go to bed until I find out what the hell is going on over at ToolNavy..but I haven't been able to get access to the forums for like the past hour! It's probably going to be some in depth review of the album..though there was some information released earlier..did you see it?

I've been there like now, nothing has been posted except

No update for a few hours at least, someone has a hot date, but here are a few tidbits:

- This album sounds like a combination/mix of all four previous albums
- Vicarious is the most like a standard Tool rock song, if there is such a thing
- As the album progresses, it goes from "This sounds like the Tool I know" to "I can tell this is Tool, but holy **** this is different" due to the arrangement of tracks.
- Lipan Conjuring is a filler type track, so is Viginiti Tres
- Lost Keys has a weird soundtrack/speaking clip throughout in the background, and is sort of a lead-in to Rosetta Stoned
- Wings part 1 and 2 apparently ****ing rock. Hard.
- There are many quiet parts in the album, or places where the music stops.
- Multiple start out slow or quiet

I hope I'm not stealing too much of Kabir's thunder, just trying to pass on what little info I have.

Im glad im not drooling over leaks or images. For Lateralus, all my friends came over and we had a listening party on a bose surround system. It was quite the experience. I've since moved, but plan on hearing nothing til I have the album in my hand, a nice dank nug and a pair of good headphones.

Just this minute kabir posted a message saying sorry for the delay. Bloody glad I went to sleep.

He'll probably release whatever he's on about in teh next couple of minutes.
