Lunch is seventeen. Just go around your town's mini marts, and within twenty minutes of asking for liquor, you'll find a place that'll sell it to you.
I've got plenty of people I could get it through, I'm just too unmotivated. The places where I'd really like to drink would probably be full of alcohol anyway thanks to my friends, so no worries. It would be nice to get it on my own though, unfortunately I'm a little shorter than most 16 year olds and therefore don't look anywhere close to 21. |
I've come to enjoy just hanging out and drinking, playing drinking games, and the more relaxed drunk that beer gives you. Liquor is still good though.
I agree with this as well. I just hate crappy American beer and I thought you were talking about getting wasted with it heh.
I don't know what it's like in Oregon, but at the Avalon in Boston (indoor club), security is all over anyone who lights up.
The security here is really lazy to pick out people smoking unless they are on the edge of the crowd and not on the interior of the crowd.
I don't see why everyone hates people who smoke in bars. Chances are if your going to a bar, your going to drink. Drinking is harmful to, last time i checked, and i'd much prefer a smoker next to me than some drunken lout starting a fight with me.
It is alot easier to get away from a drunk then it is to get away from smoke in a confined area. And drinking keeps the harmful effects to your self, smoking spreads it around to others while smoking. NP - Nevermore - Sell My Heart For Stones Nevermore was freakin' awesome last night, even though they only got to play 5 songs. :( Edit : I also like to drink for the taste of beer, since good beer is quite good. And various hard alcohols taste good as well. I rather drink a few beers with some friends then get drunk... |
I enjoy the taste of beer and the drunkeness.
|
Am I the only person who drinks because I like beer, spirits... rather than just to get drunk?
I get drunk where there are drunk girls. ;) |
Great. Everyone's favorite mod just AIM'd me again.
NP - Nevermore - The Psalm of Lydia Awesome acoustic and lead work in this song...
Yes it is. TGE is a fucking amazing album, one of the best to be released in a while. I would kill to see those guys live. |

Yes it is. TGE is a fucking amazing album, one of the best to be released in a while. I would kill to see those guys live.
This is my first time through it, and it is awesome. They were awesome at Gigantour last night, and I got TGE signed as well. I do believe Opeth and Nevermore are doing a co-headlining tour here soon... And the real question Lars should be asking is : how did a girl let me get close enough to rape them? |

TGE and Ghost Reveries are both incredible albums. As I recall they were going to Harpo's uo in Detroit - so many good shows up there, but I have to choose one. Right now it's loking like CoB. |
On the topic of drunkeness and pregnancy- Some of you guys might remember my story about my ex who is pregnant, so I won't retell it, as all that really happened is that, well, my ex got pregnant. :p Anyways, the guy that poked her got caught with his friends drunk off their arses at the football game two Fridays ago. Just thought I'd mention that for some obscure reason.
|
The only gigs im caring about at the minute are my bands :\ We got a great reception on Saturday and loads of people gave me their e-mails so i could tell them when and where the next gig is, and we've been offered an hour long set, so we need to get together which songs were gonna play and stuff.
You saw Anthrax yesterday right? How were they?
They got to play for an hour and twenty minutes and they easily stole the show from Megadeth. Megadeth was awesome, but Anthrax was more into the crowd and was just an all around fun time watching them. It would have been even funner if it was not a seating stadium. Awesome band to see live, they have alot of fun... |

What a hell of a dad  np: 2Pac - If My Homie Calls |
For some reason I think he's made bigger mistakes recently :p
Well yeah, you'd think he'd be making some slightly better decisions, or something. It just really sucks, because I used to be her friend, and now it's like, well, you're never getting your life back. :-/ I mean, she got knocked up by some loser dickhead, and it doesn't look like he's going to grow up any time soon, so I feel like I should be kicking someone's ass right now. :p |

Anthrax wasn't at my Gigantour. Dream Theater was there isntead, and they were amazing. I've heard nothing but good comments about the show Anthrax puts on as well.
|
I've got to do a demonstration speech on a topic of my choice, so I chose to show how to put in contact lenses. :D
I might see Judas Priest fairly soon; I need to get in touch with my friend and see what has been planned. I really hope they play Stained Class or Island Of Domination, though I doubt they will. |
That's cool. I'm definitely getting the Live Reunion DVD they're putting out sometime.
Do you remember the playlist, or if it was all just Belladonna-era stuff?
It was pretty much all Belldonna era stuff from memory, and I hardly ever remember long set lists, so ya heh. They did play Metal Thrashing Mad, Medusa, Madhouse, I Am The Law (finisher), Efilnikufesin (awesome live), Indians, Antisocial from what I remember.
Wow, seriously? I saw Anthrax and they were great, but I will believe any band stealing the show from Megadeth when I see it.
Believe it, because they did. Megadeth played alot of newer stuff, and they didn't interact with the crowd much... Dave got up on stage and said they weren't going to waste our time and play the set all the way through non-stop. And they didn't really get the crowd into the music until they busted into the old stuff... |
I love The system has failed.
I was very pleased when Megadeth played stuff from that when I saw them. |
I love The system has failed.
I was very pleased when Megadeth played stuff from that when I saw them.
Also did you see Anthrax with Joey or some one else? And not many people were into the newer Megadeth stuff...the crowd only really got into it when they kicked off the older stuff with Tornado Of Souls. |
I saw Anthrax with Joey, they were great, but nothing as good as Megadeth.
It may have been I saw Anthrax at a festival, and Megadeth playing a 2 hour set. a lot more than Anthrax played at Download. Megadeth is still the 3rd best gig I've ever been to, behind the twice I've seen maiden of course. |
I though anthrax put on a way better show than Megadeth did to. They were always pumping the crowd up and running around and having a great time. They also played mostly all old amterial which I was very happy about. I was signing along and headbanging the whole time, my neck was very sore the next day. Megadeth just stood their and played and Dave only talked to the crowd twice which was dissapointing.

Sounds exactly like my show too heh. I was kinda disappointed with Megadeth just sitting there and Dave never interacting with the crowd. But Hangar 18 was intense live heh. Also both bands got pretty much equal playing time. Megadeth clocked in at 1 hour and 45 minutes and Anthrax clocked in at 1 hour and 20 minutes. |
I though Megadeth were going to put on a way better show than they did. I was happy that they played some older material (Wake up Dead, Tornado of Sould, Hanger 18, Peace Sells, Symphony of Destruction)
|
This is indeed a dark day. :(
|
I don't know...this sounds nothing like the 'deth show I saw, Dave talked to the crowd a load and when Diamond head came on at the end to sing along to "back in the day" it was touching beyond belief...

Good afternoon/morning/evening MX!
Well, today was a pretty good day. I had a good day at school and got out a day early because I had a spare block last block today. Then I went to KFC for a job interview. Well, it may not be the greatest job in the world, but I've got it. I get to cook chicken. |
