I want a sitar.
Damn grandmas *shakes fist*

Janeway 01-28-2006 02:24 PM

Me too.
Mostly because Ravi Shankar's daughter was featured in Frets and she's hot, though.

Blank 01-28-2006 02:26 PM

I want one for the challenge.
They're a bitch to learn from what i've heard.

I posted this before, but I think everyone should listen to it.
It's wonderful and depressing and modern.
It's too bad I naturally have a good technique for Bach pieces.

Janeway 01-28-2006 02:28 PM

They're probably a beeyotch to learn because you can't find any teachers.

Blank 01-28-2006 02:30 PM

That's true.
But the only stringed insturment I own/play is a bass. And I know a sitar is nothing like a bass.

Drum Phil 01-28-2006 02:31 PM

38 and a half hours and counting :) God my bodys fucked up.

Loyton 01-28-2006 02:39 PM

Anyone here a classical music fan? I need some music choice for my upcoming acid trip. I was thinkin either Piotr llyitch Tchaikovsky or some Carl Orff...... then run through a snowy forest with my ISO headphones on, from twilight to dark.

Drum Phil 01-28-2006 02:40 PM

Wagner - Ride of the valkyries is always a must
John Williams - Duel of the fates

Der Meister 01-28-2006 03:25 PM

Vivaladi - The seasons (Winter is the best IMO)
Craig Armstrong - Escape (the extended mix is even better)
Reqiuem for a Dream theme is a good, chill out song
Reqiuem for a Tower (longer and more dramatic version of the above)
Basil Poledouris - Riders of doom
Hans Zimmer - Crimson tide

''Outside is pure energy and colorless substance,'' he said. ''All of the rest happens through the mechanism of our senses. Our eyes see just a small fraction of the light in the world. It is a trick to make a colored world, which does not exist outside of human beings.''
