I can never pick best band/album/song

Jam2Me 02-19-2005 10:25 PM

Badmoon are you a fan of Hot Rize?

Glitterati 02-19-2005 10:26 PM

I know this has been said before, but can anyone recommend, say, three Grateful Dead songs? I'm trying to get into them.

[QUOTE=lunch998]Sorry then.

box of rain is probably the first song of theirs that I really loved.

RockAndRoll 02-19-2005 10:31 PM

friend of the devil is very popular and so was truckin. I must say if you can get Good lovin from their Europe 72 album though you should really listen to it, one of the best songs I've ever heard.

Jam2Me 02-19-2005 10:31 PM

yeah Box of Rain, Sugar Magnolia, and Truckin' or Casey Jones, if you want something more psychedelic then try The Golden Road (to Unlimited Devotion).

Glitterati 02-19-2005 10:32 PM

Is anyone else a David Bowie fan? Because I'd think he's classic rock.

No problem, he is classic rock. I like the stuff of his I've heard, but that's not much. Where abouts are you Canadian guy?

wanton 02-19-2005 10:36 PM

Anyone like Johnny Winter? Very underrated blues rock artist.

I got to see him live, he was seated in a chair and then appeared to die, but then his fingers started working the guitar and it was unbleiveable.

My mom who is a nurse also gave him a colonoscapy, nice little sidenote.

That's awesome, man. My dad got to see him live and said he puts on a hell of a show.

Heh yeah it was odd, he was all old and plopped down in his chair then he got his guitar and everyone was in awe.

Has anyone here ever listened to or heard of Jeff Lynne's Armchair Theatre?
It's one of my favorite Cds, it's perfect. That man is a genius.
