I know he said it, but he'll probably eventually start again, trust me...Dave's like that
yeah okay i guess you're the expert. IMO you're right, but watch your authoritative tone there, son. |
Kirk stays in the background. He tries to be the good guy in everything, whilst not getting his point across at all.
Anyway, who said Lars was a songwriter? he's not a songwriter at all, he 'composes' the songs with James. Just another ego boost of having his name in the writing credits.
true. he helps write the songs but that doesent declare him as a songwriter |
I know he said it, but he'll probably eventually start again, trust me...Dave's like that
wrong. on interviews the interviewer always start the convo about that and you can tell hes fed up with talking about it. he said he forgives them and that Kirk is a great guitarist. rewind back 20 years and he says kirk is horrible guitarist and that they let him do the solos to long. |

And about Lars and the songwriting thing, watch the Making of the Black Album. |
Lol yeah, the 'feel the love' version of Kirk rocks, seeing him earlier when he was like drunk or high (eg Cliff em All) he was still nice, just a tad rude at times... eg on tour "Wake up Kirk..." (James and Lars) "Sons of bitches..." (Kirk)
Heh, listen to the SKOM commentary. It says Kirk's only ever been angry once. |
Heh when I first heard that, the thrashiest thing I had ever heard was the stuff of Reload. I sat there and was like "wow". Obviously I know now that KEA isn't all that thrashy but still.
It's weird because of Hetfield's voice. I can now Safely say however, that I feel 'Ride The Lightening' is 'Tallica's best album. |

I agree with you on that one. |
I agree with you on that one.
everything about it is good. There isn't a song on there that isn't great. |
I don't really like Escape, but the rest of the album certainly makes up for it.
|
I love escape. Alot actually.
|
I agree with you on that one.
I agree with your agreement (i doubt that's a word) But yeah, all the songs are amazing, with maybe the exception of Escape but it's been growing on my a little over the past few days. |

But yeah, all the songs are amazing, with maybe the exception of Escape but it's been growing on my a little over the past few days.
Agreement is a word. i.e. " I am glad we have reached this stage of agreement." I used to like Escape. I think it's boring now though. |
Agreement is a word.
i.e. " I am glad we have reached this stage of agreement."
Ah yes. It just seemed to sound weirder and weirder. |

Yeah I get that when I repeat a word over and over. |
I love escape. Alot actually.
I don't know why, but that's my favorite song off of RTL. |
Well my fave is fade to black or call of ktulu. Those two songs are unbeatable on that album.

The opening clean bit (call of ktulu), especially on S&M, is most sexual. The whole song rocks. Best instrumental me thinks, not the most technical, but that weird vibe it gives is just the best. |
I like the wah guitar parts that are thrown into the rythm for The Call of Ktulu. It is a very good song. But as for favorite Metallica instrumentals, I think mine is probably Orion.
100th post in here |
Then there's To live is to die. I don't like orion much really. No idea why it just doesn't cilck with me. To live is to die has nice acoustic intro, and it fades in and out of it during the song. Plus I love the guitar melodies in the middle.
|
I heard that Cliff wrote the lyrics that James used in that song. But I'm exactly sure if it's true.
|
Call of Ktulu and Orion are both very cool. Though if I had to pick one, it would probley be Orion.
|

I heard that. He wrote the little verse bit in the middle. |
Yea, I think it was just something cliff said once. It's more like a little poem. It freaked me out first time I heard the song cause I thought there wouldn't be any vocals at all, and I was into the song and then boom james started talking those words. lol Did they ever play full To live is to die live?

Call of Ktulu is better. |

123'd N.P. Call of Ktulu (live on S&M) - Metallica |
Why'd you get band?
Thats Harsh. how Long For?
Also, You should go and complain.
It's only for a day so I can't really be arsed. It's not as if I'm gunna miss the whole 20 post off the post count that I would get in a day. If it was any longer I'd probabily complain. EDIT: I probabily wouldn't have been banned if i didn't say please don't ban me  |
Oh right.

AWESOME vid of Bleeding Me during Woodstock of 99. James's hair is pretty long, so, logically, they were at the top of their game :p. |
heh. Cool vid.
|
Yeh, It's a good song, that.
|
In that video, Jason looks pretty uncomfortable without a pick during the soft parts, heh
|
Well it has a chick without a top so it's a good vid. lol
This 99 seattle vid is great too, I have it in large version too. Actually that's 01 vid I think. It's battery not bleeding me. http://www.youtube.com/watch.php?v=4T6p2KtmQb0&search=metallica%20live |

I haven't listened to them in like a moth...
|
I haven't listened to them for like 15 minutes...
|
My sister's boyfriend and my best friend died in a car accident almost 3 years ago. Simply because he was my friend, does that give me the right to rub it in her face everytime she does something really mean to me?
To be honest, I have no idea what point you are trying to prove? |
I'm listening to them right now.
