You can't. You're to young to know how to read yet.
|
When I was younger and I read Animal Farm, I spent most of the book wishing Snowball would wisen up and use Boxer to slaughter Napolean and the other pigs.

You can't have literature if your entire population can't read or write |

This is true. |
They could make a darn good "how to get into america without getting caught" picture book though
|
I read Lord of the Flies when I was twelve
I was so creeped out by it then
I read it as a freshman and i thought it was a bad representation of humanity. I wonder what I'd think now.
Brave New World is awful. I much prefer 1984.
must spread
Animal Farm > 1984 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Brave New World
repd |

Not big on books really, but I enjoyed House of Leaves.

I liked Lord of the Flies. :)
|
Me too, and I used it as a point of reference in every single literature-based essay I ever wrote in high school.
Quick review of No Country for Old Men anyone? I don't know anything about it, but people seem to like it.
Artsy Coen brothers film in the vein of Fargo. Bit of the old ultra-violence, supplied mostly by Javier Bardem as an uber-creepy sociopathic hitman. Josh Brolin last seen in Planet Terror gives a great performance as does Tommy Lee Jones. Plot can be a bit difficult to follow during the lengthy dialog scenes. Very cerebral in that regard. Ending comes out of nowhere and will leave fans of popcorn movies ready to burn down the theater, while film fags bigger than yours truly (an impressive feat in itself) will be whacking to it for months to come. If you don't mind a movie that takes its time with the plot and has a minimalist soundtrack, go for it. But like I said, go in expecting Fargo as opposed to O Brother Where Art Thou?.
When I was younger and I read Animal Farm, I spent most of the book wishing Snowball would wisen up and use Boxer to slaughter Napolean and the other pigs.
That's the film adaptation directed by Brett Rattner. |

I can't wait for No Country... to come out here. Fargo > O Brother, anyway.
Has anyone read Saul Bellow's Seize the Day? NP: Django Reinhardt |
I ought to get some solid studying done for my Deutschschlussexamen.
