I'm listening to the album now, because you convinced me. Cobwebs and Strange is great too. Keith Moon is crazy.

blonde on blonde was pretty good. i never really liked dylan that much though
When he came to my city, everyone said he was horrible. They said he lost his voice and he didn't play any classics, just new material.
Wow. That's lame.

Well there's also a CCR and a Eagles concert coming up too.

I'd go to the CCR concert in a second.

I'm gonna list my three favourite Who albums now:
#1:The Who Sell Out,
#2:Tommy,
(that was a hard choice :upset: )
#3:A Quick One

You're like my hero.

MalcolmYoungRock 02-19-2005 02:32 PM

I got Who's Next from my friend.

One of the catchiest songs on that is "Going Mobile" I had it stuck in my head for at least 2 days.

"Beep beep"

I was just gonna go "oh ****, I forgot Who's Next" but I realised, my favourite song off it is deffinitely I Don't Even Know Myself, A Quick One, is a better collective album, and I love Sell out and Tommy :)

I know what you mean. It gets annoying after a while

IAJP 02-19-2005 02:46 PM

It's a good song though

maddog87 02-19-2005 02:48 PM

It has a unique style to it

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 02-19-2005 03:02 PM

Wow, y'all sure posted a lot while I was gone.

For what I've missed: I started out as a Beatles and AC/DC fangirl, but I've branched out since then. (The Beatles are still my favorite band though.)

Only Who album I have heard is Who's Next.:upset:

IAJP 02-19-2005 03:12 PM

Who's Next is good, you need to buy Sell Out though, it's awesome

maddog87 02-19-2005 03:19 PM

Its probably my favorite of the who albums.Good Stuff!!

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 02-19-2005 03:20 PM

It's on my list...right after Disraeli Gears, Fresh Cream, PATGOD, Tommy, The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, Blood On the Tracks, and Blonde On Blonde. My list is growing faster than my cash flow.:(

And Jam2Me: I'd like those Traveling Wilburys albums whenever you can give them to me.

Does anyone else here prefer Axis: Bold As Love to AYE??

AYE? was great but a little inconsistent...it was unbridled genius, Jimi showing the world his raw talent. Axis: Bold As Love was bit more mature, a bit more polished, a bit more focused.

AYE was packed full of classics. AXIS is still good, but not as good.

maddog87 02-19-2005 03:26 PM

I like bold as love, but havent heard AYE, so i cant really say anything

See, everybody looks at AYE's most famous tracks and makes that judgement, but Axis is from start to finish a stronger album.

maddog87 02-19-2005 03:38 PM

:smoke: i wonder how many of his songs were wrote when he was stoned?

unclebobscircus 02-19-2005 04:04 PM

The best Hendrix album has to be First Rays of the New Rising Sun... Freedom and Izabella are two of the best songs ever written.

No he needs to get A Quick One While He's Away or Tommy
screw Sell Out (not really, I love the Who but the other two are better beginner's albums)

IAJP 02-19-2005 04:18 PM

Oh man what's your avatar?
I've been staring at it for ages and I can't fathom it out :(

Johnny B. Good 02-19-2005 04:18 PM

Me?

IAJP 02-19-2005 04:27 PM

Yeah I know it's an owl, but what album cover?
It reminds me of a Yes one for some reason..:-/
