Hell yeah, I liked this one I heard on [I]Foulest Semen[/I] it was a chick, sounded like it was from a 60-70s cult horror movie "I've waited so long to have my revenge!" I want to find the movie. A lot of times song samples help me stumble on good movies.

Anyone know a good freeware drum program? Feel like trying out something other than Reason for drums.

the word "free" is ambiguous. it can mean free as in freedom of speech, or it can mean free as in free beer. gratis means "free of charge", so it is a much more precise word. no confusion.

it's a really good piece of software. used it tons. don't know if they still do Windows versions (if you use that os), but I think at least a semi-recent version should be available.

you can make your own kits or import and install drum kits. personally I prefer making my own kits. I don't only use it for "natural sounding drums", but also for blip blops and stuff.

Been making some extremely raw black metal this weekend.

Mainly because my audio interface is giving me problems and I can't get it to record a proper, clean guitar sound for some reason.

I'll upload and post it here when it's done.

did you use Hydrogen? my blackmetalnoisedroneuhmyeah band are working on a new album that might get released eventually, and all the drums are in Hydrogen. I'm also using Hydrogen for pretty blip blops. :-)

Yeah, been using Hydrogen. Figured this would be a nice way to get to know the program. I like the humanizing stuff in it. Makes blastbeats sound a lot more natural.

you can download a shit ton of plug-ins and stuff. I mostly just make my own kits and handle the mixer, as well as altering the pitch. I've dabbled with the other stuff, but mostly just stick to the tracker, instrument editor, kit manager and mixer. program has way potential though. very versatile.

Yeah, the plugins don't work for me. It gives an error when I try to install one. But I guess I'll just try to tweak the sound myself and see where that gets me.

As far as vocal processors and stuff... Idk, I usually just use Audacity for some reverb/delay and that's it.

I'm a heavy user of audacity, so that's my current option as well. I'm also working on getting to know some voice synths.

Idk, not really, I guess. I mean I think I don't do a horrible job at making programmed drums but people tend to hear it right off the bat.
