Alright I found the songs and downloaded them. I don't have time to listen to them now because I'm supposed to meet my friend somewhere. But next time I'm on I will let you know what I think of them. I've always wanted to hear Wilco.

MalcolmYoungRock 05-20-2005 07:41 PM

Yeah, who's #1?

/is probably #1 :upset:

Badmoon 05-20-2005 07:41 PM

haha, I don't have a list, but he's pissed me off with a few comments awhile ago, but so did everyone else. :p

jpj 05-20-2005 07:43 PM

 Somehow I knew that. It was his comments about how Piper is so much better than Anthem and Aoxomoxoa, wasn't it?

lunch998 05-20-2005 07:44 PM

I like Syd Barrett and Piper, but I think he overrates them a bit.

Badmoon 05-20-2005 07:44 PM

No, but that did not help anything.

Besides, I don't rank you guys according to your retardedness (if that's a word)

MalcolmYoungRock 05-20-2005 07:50 PM
No, but that did not help anything.

You rank us by how much we like country rock, right?

:p

Badmoon 05-20-2005 07:51 PM

It's the your liking of the Grateful Dead that really decides your ranking .

lunch998 05-20-2005 07:51 PM

But that would give me a high ranking, so that can't be right.

Woodstock 05-20-2005 07:53 PM

Grateful Dead, meh.

Badmoon 05-20-2005 07:54 PM
Grateful Dead, meh.
Take your Reinhardt and get outta here

MalcolmYoungRock 05-20-2005 08:01 PM

Chat time.

If you don't know how, invite yourself to the chatroom "MXCLASSICROCK" without the quotes. Just hit invite and type in some random stuff like aosidjfaoseifjweorij in your invite and type mxclassicrock in the chat.

White_heat 05-20-2005 08:07 PM
yeah thats an incredilbe album, the ...do you love? songs are all great, its really an overlooked album
That series is good, and then Mona, Maiden of the Cancer Moon, and Calvary are all great as well.

BludgeonySteve 05-20-2005 08:21 PM

I like the Grateful Dead. They make me smile, groove and have urges to travel the USA in a truck or hippy bus ;)

Illmatic 05-20-2005 08:23 PM

The Grateful Dead are extraordinarily ordinary to me.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 05-20-2005 08:26 PM

Agreed, the greatest thing about them wasn't even their music.

Trippin+++

Woodstock 05-20-2005 08:26 PM
The Grateful Dead are extraordinarily ordinary to me.
Yea, they're cool and all to me, but nothing thats really interesting.

White_heat 05-20-2005 08:27 PM

Illmatic 05-20-2005 08:31 PM

wanton 05-20-2005 09:48 PM
i can tell there arent many deadheads here
I'm a fan, but I don't think I know enough to be called a deadhead.

*Pops out Phil Lesh avatar*

Badmoon 05-20-2005 09:53 PM

thickasabrick 05-21-2005 03:25 AM

But why would you bash the Grateful Dead? I mean no one can deny that they aren't an awesome band. Even if it isn't the type of music some people don't normally like, it's still obvious they are a great brand.

appreciate_it 05-21-2005 04:06 AM

I tell you who i haven't seen on here, and Thats
Simon and Garfunkel
I really like these guys mayube they're not "rock" in attitudes and lack of distortion, but i reckon these guys are great song writes and musicians. I've been listening to heaps of their stuff latley.

SeasonOfTheMad 05-21-2005 05:40 AM

are you going to scarborough fair?

Badmoon 05-21-2005 09:34 AM
That's how I feel about them as well...I've listened to quite a lot of their stuff, and I can appreciate the talent (Jerry Garcia in particular), but I can take or leave their stuff really.

Sorry Badmoon
Don't be sorry, its your opinion; the only thing that upsets me is that there may be less participation in a Grateful Dead discussion. And that you may not be introduced or like bands connected to them. Like Phil Lesh, Ratdog, Jerry Garcia & David Grisman, Old & In the Way, etc.

TheDMV 05-21-2005 09:46 AM

I love the Grateful Dead. I only have American Beauty, But I love it. I listen to there stuff on the internet when I can, but they never have Anthem of THe Sun, which is one album of theirs hat I rreally want to hear.

Badmoon 05-21-2005 09:47 AM
