Memorbale riffs like what- also what songs are ont he AJFA album ,and the KEA album
Name about any Metallica song and I'm sure it has a memorable riff. There are good riffs for average songs, like Enter Sandman, and there are amazing riffs for amazing songs like Seek and Destroy. AJFA -Blackened: Probably the coolest intro for a Metallica song that lasts like 30 seconds. Awesome song with great thrash riffs and vocals -...And Justice For All: Incredibly long song, but filled with great riffs (including a great intro) and awesome vocals -Eye of the Beholder: Probably my least favorite on the album. -One: There aren't words to describe the kickassness of this song. -The Shortest Straw: Once again, far from my favorite, but it's a good song. -The Frayed ends of Sanity: Great stuff, but the one after this is so much better -To Live is To Die:Incredible "instrumental" that was written in memory of Cliff Burton. You need to hear this song. -Dyers Eve: Easliy Lars' best drumming KEA You will have heard Seek and Destroy and possibly the Four Horsemen. The rest of the cd is incredibly thrashy with hardcore soloing. It's a great album (i don't feel like reviewing every song)
Oh and can some please put up Breadfan for me I am trying to learn but dont have it Thanks
I have that one too, so what am I uploading for people? edit: and for the memorable riffs, in a few minutes I'll post my absolute favorite Metallica riffs (again) |

Weve had a lot of discussions about the metallica songs lately and the complexity of different ones. But wut is rly interesting and shows their creativity are the 3 instrumentals: The Call Of Ktulu (RTL), Orion (MOP), and To Live is to Die (AJFA).
So heres my question, which one of these three songs are your favorite and why?? Mine is To Live is To Die becuz of the huge diversity it has from classical, to metal, to 1st position melodic chords (the interlude part with the violin sythesizers). So wuts everyone els' fave Metallica instrumental? |
To live is to die because of what you said :p
|
Orion,it's just a great masterpiece, the solo's are incredible and the duration of the song it's perfect, you can hear the melodic complex of Burton and the rage sounding guitars of hetfield and hammett.
|
my favorite is To live is to die
the acoustic intro is smart, its heavy , i love the toggle flicking in the solo, and it has a cool name |
Call of Ktulu. If only someone had the S&M version sans orchestra, I would love them.
That song is just indescribably good. I used to prefer Orion, but Ktulu is far far more kickarse. :smash: |
I'd say call of ktulu cos i havent herd th others
|
To Live Is To Die, because it has some beautiful guitar parts and solos. And in a sense its Cliff's last recorded output
|
Actually yeah, I love Call of the Ktulu, it's a tough match though with Orion though.
|
They're all brillitant to me. I couldn't pick one.
|
To live is to die, i like the end..i really thought "hmm where heard i this before" , haha it was 9 minutes ago :P

Really like that intro too, nice drumming again |
I love, Battery, Unnamed Feeling, One, Blackened, Master of Puppets, Holier than Thou. The list goes on, but Battery is a reallly awesome song. Im sick of all those people complaining about St Anger that was a fruckin awesome album. Frantic and St Anger are really awesome songs
|
Harvester of sorrow is a AJFA song too right?
Really like that intro too, nice drumming again
Aye - it is |
I was listening to AJFA a few days ago for the first time in ages. It really is great. I don't know why i don't listen to it more often.
|
Aye - it is
Havent seen you round these here parts for a while *chews wheat* |
I hate Harvester Of Sorrow. Puts me to sleep.
|
 I love Harvester, i think it's one of the better songs on the album.
|
I,m split on the AJFA album. The guitars sound really unique (i luv the clean tone james and kirk get out of them like in the song AJFA or One). The wors part about it is that i can hardly here the bass. i brought the cd to my guitar teacher to learn some part of One and he sed where the hell is Jason?!
MOP is my fave album becuz of Battery and I luv playing along with the cd on the song master of puppets for 8 and a half minutes |
You can hardly hear the bass, its true. You can also download from several places on the net versions of the songs with people who've added bass to it if you're that bothered. Part of AJFA being AJFA is the tinny guitars, the weird drums and the pretty much nonexistent bass. It was a weird mix.
Is it just me that can feel a lot of anger coming from AJFA? Far more than St Anger... It feels like there's a lot of emotion in it, and its very raw and powerful. :smash: |
