I'm not worried about colleges yet...I still got 2 years to go.

It blows being a sophomore though...you have nearly nothing to do. No wild parties, no driver's liscense...friggin nothing. It's boring as hell here too...

Jev 04-15-2006 05:10 PM

How old are Sophomores?

Shattered_Future 04-15-2006 05:11 PM

It's 10th grade. A bunch of my friends just turned 16...I don't until August.

I reckon It'll be legal by 2013. And Tobacco and Nicotine will be illegal.

Jev 04-15-2006 05:14 PM

Ah right.
That's basically the same year as me then.

How does the english school system run? By that I mean, what do you call your levels/grades?

Shattered_Future 04-15-2006 05:18 PM

Yea, this is the age that sucks almost as much as being 10...everything you want to do, you can't, whether it be illegal, you can't get to it, or you can't get it.

Bah, once weed becomes legal, nobody's gonna want to do it...the usage should go way down.

Lunch 04-15-2006 05:18 PM

I'll want to do it.

Mr. Night V2.0 04-15-2006 05:20 PM

Same Here.

GenuineImitation 04-15-2006 05:22 PM

A week and a half until I can buy p0rn, cigarettes and lottery tickets. Although I do not smoke, have no need to buy p0rn since I have the internet and have better uses for my money then lotto tickets, its cool to know that I have the ability to do so.
How does the english school system run? By that I mean, what do you call your levels/grades?
You have Nursery which is the same as Kindergarten.

Then we have Reception and years 1&2 which are part of Infants School
Then years 3,4,5,6 in Primary School
Then years 7,8,9,10,11 in Secondary school

and after that it's up to you. Student's normally stay on for Years 12&13 which are called Sixth Form or go to College.

I'm in year 11 and I'm 16.

GenuineImitation 04-15-2006 05:25 PM

So you guys got to college when you are 16/17 and we have to wait until we are 18. Thats unfair...
It's official, I'm going to the University of Michigan. I thought about Maryland though and kind of wanted to go there.
U of M, huh? You'll be about half an hour away from my house. About an hour away from where Magicbus goes to school. It'll be like a CR college tripod. Tripod!

Lunch 04-15-2006 05:28 PM

I'm all about the tripod.

That's what she said!

Count it.

PinkFreud 04-15-2006 05:31 PM

Kobe!

Tripod!

Really though, I have friends who go to U of M and they love it.
College will be a dream come true for me. I can't stand being in this place anymore.
*sigh* At least you're leaving sometime. Uni is located in the city I was born and leave so I didnt have to leave home. Alright, technically I live alone since my parents are away most of the time but still, I've always wanted to live somewhere else, to a place no one knows me and start over.. :(

GenuineImitation 04-15-2006 05:39 PM

The college I am going to is far enough where I can start over, but still see my ffamily and friends on a monthly basis.

Stoic: Sorry, but I didn't know you wanted to do the RMOTY (prays you still don't want me to die).

Ok, good. I was worried that I may have to change my location so you dont try to hunt me down.

Alex Lifeson of Rush.

Greekies go to the church and at 12:00am the bells start ringing and people light their candles with the holy light. All these next Sunday though.

Some people go to church on Easter(Tomorrow here). But I'm not religous, so I don't.

And what's this about you wanting to go somewhere where no one knows you and start over ?

Mr. Night V2.0 04-15-2006 06:15 PM

Happy Easter.

Shattered_Future 04-15-2006 06:20 PM

Obviously, Jammie (I'm Stoic for a minute :p), some people have a poor reputation around where they live...going to a new college allows them to basically restart their lives again.

I think I went to church on Easter once...when I was 7 or so. Haven't gone since...

Easter in...oh...less than 3 hours here.

GenuineImitation 04-15-2006 06:22 PM

I go to church almost every sunday. I wouldn't mind if they had comfortable seats, but solid wood is truly a pain in the ass.

Mr. Night V2.0 04-15-2006 06:23 PM

It's been easter for an hour and 16 mins here.

GenuineImitation 04-15-2006 06:26 PM

I cant wait for my collection of Cadbury Eggs tomorrow. I told my parents thats the only type of candy I want.

Its great having younger sibilings who still believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny. I get extra gifts so it looks even.
