Both, for me. You listen to Freewheelin (one of my favorite albums ever) and he sounds great just by himself. Then, fast forward to late to the late '70s Tangled Up In Blue era, and it sounds great with drums, etc. in there. I think he can pull both off.

Dylan is better alone, Im saving up for a banjo and if I smoke before the trip will that ruin it?

The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan and Blood on the Tracks are my two favourite Dylan albums. I like him better alone, although his songs on Blood on the Tracks with the band are a lot quieter than in stuff like Blonde on Blonde and Highway 61 Revisited. I don't like him as much with the noisy bar room type band.

Schyma I heard if you smoke up before/during shroom trips it mellows it out more and it isn't as intense, I'm not sure about acid though. I know sometimes Jim Morrison came to shows too messed up on acid to perform, so they would make him drink some beer and smoke a cigar or something like that so it would mellow him out more.

Very much so. If I'm gonna take shrooms I'm gonna smoke up my first time. I wanna try them but they are hard to find here unless I try going to the really filthy drug dealers that I hate even looking at. My school is well known because everyone is a pothead, so buying weed isn't hard at all...but buying shrooms is always risky business. I know one guy who can get them pretty easily but I hate his guts and I refuse to talk to him.
