Once you're in high school you're going to look forward to it ending.

Stormrider 04-15-2006 04:01 PM

Up here where I live, High school is from 7th to 11th grade. Then theres colledge.

Jev 04-15-2006 04:03 PM

Basically the same here. Replace grade with year.
Once you're in high school you're going to look forward to it ending.
and once high school ends you're going to look forward to your life ending (if you're me at least) :upset:

Last year in high school was hell. I felt like I was going to explode. The funny thing is that I counted the days backwards from the beginning of the school year: "Omg, in 274 days school will be over forever!"...

Jev 04-15-2006 04:05 PM

I always do that for the last term. I can't help it.

Are you in college?

ATM 04-15-2006 04:06 PM

The last few months of high school were so hard, in the sense that I couldn't sit still at all.

Stoic 04-15-2006 04:07 PM

YES! Plus, I really didnt feel like studying for the bloody finals...
Are you in college?
Uni (greekies go directly to Uni after high school) :)

ATM 04-15-2006 04:07 PM

One of my good friends lives in Greece.

I found it to be prety easy, I had basically Crap classes, and so much going on like graduation, prom, and music club I rarely had to sit through class.

I'm in my last few months of high school. I pass the time by drinking whenever I don't work.

Jev 04-15-2006 04:15 PM

It's my last couple of months and I feel no motivation.

Hahaha, that's the good life.

It's like that with the last few months of the Junior year too.

I messed up a bit though, my average for the year is currently an 82.2% and I could do waaay better.

I drew up a chart. It felt soo good crossing off that last day. I sat and looked at the paper for at least ten minutes.

Junior year is definitely fun because you're in the upper half of the school, and usually friends with some seniors. Plus around here people can drive junior year
(usually age 16) so there's so much more to do. But yea, senior year is really a different world then being a freshman or sophomore. Alcohol used to be a big deal when I was a freshman, like it was hard to get and so I only drank a couple times. Now it's just standard all the time.

Stoic 04-15-2006 04:41 PM

It's funny how EVERY american in this thread drinks alcohol while it's illegal at this age in the US :p

In a year and half it will no longer be illegal for me.

Jev 04-15-2006 04:44 PM

I don't think anyone obeys alcohol laws.

Haha, yeah, that's exactly how it's been.... but it was like night and day, for the first two marking periods I would party every now and then, and my grades were slipping, but now me and my friends just drink and smoke like every day and my grades have actually gone up... I've also become more cleanly... I just get motivated to do stuff when I'm intoxicated,.

College is gonna be a bizarre situation for me... I've got a good number of friends in the Senior and Sophmore classes at my school, but then like 4 friends in my own grade... anyhow... me and my buddy Kevin have decided that we'll spend next year going to a community college to make up for our poor performance in our freshman/sophmore years, and then room together at Penn State, Berks in two years... the best part is, all of my friends who I hang out with now are going to PSB :D.

Shadows 04-15-2006 05:02 PM

College will be a dream come true for me. I can't stand being in this place anymore.

ATM 04-15-2006 05:07 PM

Lunch, where are you thinking about going to school?

I'll be transferring to UMD very soon.

Glitterati 04-15-2006 05:07 PM

I can't wait until I leave high school. Only a little more than one full year left (I'm in grade eleven).

Lunch 04-15-2006 05:08 PM

It's official, I'm going to the University of Michigan. I thought about Maryland though and kind of wanted to go there.
