That is a really great site. Wow.
|
Yeah, that's an awsome site. I <3 mole now. I've been wanting to make some stencils for a while now, I've just been too lazy to make/find anything. This helps alot.
Now I just need to find a good way to make the stecils hold up to spraypaint. 'guess I'll try duct tape, but I may have to do it twice, once onto computer paper, then again onto some poster board, because thick paper won't run through my printer. |
Where did you get that avatar?
I googled "Anti-Nazi" |
I'm going to make a stencil with a KKK member standing over a dead body saying "It's okay because I did it for God"
|
thats not bad
|
Thank you sir, but I can't find a good KKK picture to use for help while I'm drawing.
|
does anyone know a way i can make a photogallery online, were i can put music in the background?

Yeah I've made a bunch of my own too, e-mail a bunch to me and I'll send some of mine. Average.dan4th@gmail.com |
So I need some advice and/or opinions. I've got a bunch of stencils set to make, and I'll be buying a black jean jacket soon.
My dilema is, should I spray the stencils directly onto the jacket, or make patches and sew them onto the jacket? I'm leaning toward stencils, because it'd be better off that way if I mess up. Plus it will give me an excuse to buy fabric, so I'll end up making alot more stencils. I also think I'm going to remove the sleeves, and re-attach them with zippers, so it can be a vest during the warmer months. |
do both
|
wouldn't it be easier to instead of of printing out a stencil on a piece of cardboard, cutting iit out, and sparaypainting it onto patch to just take an image of the logo you want, taping a patch material to the piece of paper and printing it out be much easier? Thats how i make patches and they come out really good. Thoughts...
|
i just print it out, laminate it, and then cut it out

Some printers can't take cloth through them. And if you only have inkjet ink in your printer, it will wash off and/or smear if you ever wash what you put the patch on. |

No access to lamination. |
No access to lamination.
Packing tape works, clear packing tape that is. |
I wonder if I have any.
Oh well, I've got about a month anyway, before it gets really cold. |
What kind of adhesive do you guys use for stencils or do you just use tape? Just curious...
|
I just use tape.
|
Like how to attach the stencil to the clothing? I use a gluestick, but sometimes that will leave glue on the clothes. It comes out in the wash, though.
|
so again....does anyone know of any internet photogallery's where i can add my own music to it? or a way of doing this?

Angelfire or Tripod maybe? |
I'm going to make my first stencil and I have two questons. This has probably been asked before, but...
What kind of Paint would I use that wouldn't wash off Clothing? What would I make the stencil out of that would be most effective; Paper or Cardboard? |
/is an idiot.
If you were to print that out, err. How the f'uck does that site work.
the thing that makes this site different is that the stencils have little spaces between enclosed areas, so you dont have to take the cut outs and align them up. |
ok this is my first time in this thread so if this question has already been answered dont expect me to look through 131 pages. i want to know how to make a stencil but im too stupid and fat. help.

You need something as you stencil, preferably something plastic like transparency paper or you can use thin cardboard. Copy you design onto the cardboard adn cut out the parts that you want to be in colour with a craft knife or X-acto knife. Then place your stenil on your shirt and make sure thats the stencil doesnt move around, so use tape to hold the stencil down. Then take your fabric paint and use a rolloer and just paint over your sencil. Give it a couple of coats and some time to dry then you're done. Use this site as well... thats hard and long (no pun intended)
all you really need to do is print out the design on a cardboard paper (like poster paper material), cut it out, then paint the stencil with fabric paint (you can find it at a craft store like michael's) on to whatever. then wait for it to dry. |
thats a shorter version of what I just said...
 (bursts out laughing at the unintentinal pun because of his inmaturity) |
then whats with the transparent paper and all that? its not really necessary. you may have said that in short sentences, but its a lot harder than said.
