You never heard Tool or Deftones called that before? It happens all the time here.

Well, Radiohead's not as popular where I live, so that might be the reason.

Wait, so the guy hasn't even listened to Ænema or Salival and continues to do reviews on them. He (obviously) hates Deftones, yet still compares them with Radiohead.

Did I miss something here?

hello everyone, back for a quick visit.

how's things with everyone, since having a little break, i've got so much work done, completed and handed in one physics coursework (on time!) and another to be done and presented next week.

i'm going to see Muse in 8 days time, for my first time with them, and i'll also be seing the wonderful Secret Machines and The Zutons. i'm very very excited about this, and i haven't been to London in a long time, so i'm bringing plenty of money, for pressies for parents etc.

all i've been digging lately is the new Bloc Party album, a friend got the cd off the internet, and i've been listening avidly, it's very very good. i've just discovered The Shins, Zero7, and Goldfrapp, loving The Shins new release especially, very neat.

i'll be back after xmas probably, full time ;)

he's not trying to sing, its more of a yelping sound. and judging them from a performance on tv is hardly any indication on how they are live. they are good live when i saw them two summers ago, back before Float on was all over.

Well, its not like the notes he was yelping would be any different if i saw them live.

I've heard that song before and it sounded like the guy couldn't even sing his own song.

This is unrelated, but it also looked like someone punched him in the eye just before the show.

well that song in reality really sucks, if youve heard some other the other things he's done. its kinda unfair (even though they brought it on themselves) that people who just heard them base their feelings towards them based on this album. by no means is he a good singer, but his music and a majority of his lyrics are wonderfully creative, much like Lou Reed, who for the most part shouldnt sing, even though his voice has grown on me.

i was wondering the same thing about his eye, and i wouldnt put it past him to get into a fight over something.

yeah, i do understand, that was a poor performance i must agree, based on the song sounding the same there or live in person.
