ive always thought of IDM as a bit of an umbrella term for all the electronic stuff thats like hip like that you know and not like mass produced gay bar techno

i definitely could never look at it as ambient though, theres entirely too much rhythmic structure

idk if I like Geogaddi or The Campfire Headphase more than MHTRTC

all 3 have had a special moment in my life

Jaundice 04-04-2010 10:25 PM

there are some drumbeats on MHTRTC that make me want to freestyle hard

Meatplow 04-04-2010 10:27 PM

I believe some ebony pop star sampled one of their beats

forget who, however

Just bought this book on Boyd Rice

reading Drugs Are Nice: A Post-Punk Memoir. it is excellent so far

Txus 04-05-2010 01:53 PM

I need more books like that.

"Boyd Rice was my mentor." -Marilyn Manson

Meatplow 04-05-2010 01:56 PM

he ordained Manson into the church of Satan I believe

there was something about a telephone call Manson made to him early in his career saying "I want to corrupt every youth in America", complete faggotry

Jaundice 04-05-2010 07:09 PM

I consider myself and Marilyn Manson like-minded individuals.

Txus 04-05-2010 07:13 PM

That's quite sad.

Jaundice 04-05-2010 07:21 PM

Did you read about that in Pitchfork

Txus 04-05-2010 07:23 PM

I never read Pitchfork :)

Jaundice 04-05-2010 07:27 PM

well that's cool but when the adults start to talk about real, complex music like slipknot and marilym manson just put your headphones in and rock to your madlib , dont embarass yourself

Txus 04-05-2010 07:32 PM

idk mr. weird ive been listening to lots of schulze and soft machine lately i better rock to that instead of madlib, dude is too awkward for me, he is black

lol at calling yourself an adult btw

Jaundice 04-05-2010 07:35 PM

schulze soft machine that's pretty obscure and intense

and loooooool mad libs black ?

get some mindless self indulgence and be a real man

Txus 04-05-2010 07:40 PM

Nepenthe 04-06-2010 02:24 PM
Alex, Drugs Are Nice: A Post-Punk Memoir is like reading a whole book full of Jaundice posts.
ahaha

ive been meaning to get my hands on that for a while

Meatplow 04-06-2010 07:17 PM

it's possibly the most entertaining thing i've ever read

her descriptions of GG Allin are hilarious

Jaundice 04-06-2010 08:15 PM

i can easily picture it being the type of thing that would make me laugh hysterically constantly throughout

Ventriloquist 04-06-2010 09:00 PM

Meatplow 04-06-2010 09:06 PM
