Sorry Flames, I never saw the instrumental and the upload is dead. Wanna re-upload it? And thanks again for everyone who listened to my songs I love the support and I'll get you all recordings soon.

Shadows 07-30-2005 05:43 PM
Oh, sorry then. :p I've been kinda irate lately, sorry.

A priest at a Boy Scout convention can only mean one thing:

Lots of converting children to Catholicism, c'mon get yer head outta the gutter!
My head wasn't in the gutter, I was just completely lost by that comment. :) I had no idea what he meant.

You won't have to wait long for CoB to come to the states. They start a world tour in October and it includes the US.

Have you worked on any more of the new song?

IheartSP 07-30-2005 05:48 PM

Nope I just got home a few hours ago. I plan to finish it within the next 2 weeks. All it needs is some revision in the verse and a solo section. I'll get back to you on your instrumnetal in a few minutes.

IheartSP 07-30-2005 06:08 PM

Hmm...it is pretty good. There were some parts that really bothered me. There was a fast run towards the beginning that sounded off. Also a few notes here and there didn't seem to fit, especially keyboard notes. When it became keyboard and lead guitar, I thought the chord progression was pretty weird sounding, I didn't like when it got low at all. Overall it was pretty good, your acoustic stuff reminds me of Bruce Dickinson.

If you still don't know what it means...

Remember all the scandals of the various priests molesting/raping little boys? So...if something's as good as a priest at a boy scout convention, it can't be too good, can it? ;)

And yea, we weren't serious...just screwing around.

Shadows 07-30-2005 06:21 PM

A gift for those interested in Arsis.

All of Arsis's music combines speed and brutality with excellent melodies and incredible technicality. Their riffs are unique and heavy, while the lead guitar is melodic, emotional, and fits perfectly (except Malone's solo tone annoys me).

My dad killed Andres Classen.

Dr. Killgreedy 07-30-2005 06:23 PM

All one of them?

I'm glad you like them. They are everything that melodic death metal should be, no question. They beat out At the Gates, Amon Amarth, In Flames, Dark Tranquility and any other band you could name.

Unfortunately, they're brand new. A Celebration of Guilt is their only record so far and it was released last year. They are currently set to release a new EP entitled A Diamond for Disease in late October.

Dr. Killgreedy 07-30-2005 06:35 PM

ill definitely buy it. i just hope that my local music store will carry it, which they carry alot of bands like that.

Shattered_Future 07-30-2005 06:35 PM

Beat out Dark Tranquillity? Noooo...Stanne's voice is SO much better than whoever does vocals for Arsis.

Arsis has better solos, though...

I dunno, I still think Autumn Leaves is the best melodic death band out there...they have a more extreme death metal part to their music, but it's still melodic as hell.

flamesofbodom 07-30-2005 06:36 PM

Shame. Ill buy that then :p

Who's Amon Amarth or Autumn Leaves? How many more Melodic Death Metal bands are there that i dont know about?

The Gates Of Heaven 07-30-2005 06:39 PM

Melodic 'Death Metal', the most annoying genre of them all.

Shadows 07-30-2005 06:40 PM

The vocals were one thing I thought Arsis had prefected. But that's just me, as I prefer a higher shriek, more along the lines of black metal. Can't say I've heard Autumn Leaves, though.

If you can find Arsis in a store, go for it. I checked all around where I live and was forced to order it online because it's so hard to find.

flamesofbodom 07-30-2005 07:05 PM

Im tabbing out The Face Of Innocence right now :p

I cant believe they're from Virginia

:amaze: *gasp* You beat me to it!!!!

It's cool. There are no Arsis tabs anywhere on the internet. I always thoguht it would be cool to collaborate with someone to tab out the entire album on guitar.

Lets get on it then! I really need help though :p

But let me finish my Wintersun

Shadows 07-30-2005 08:44 PM

I can give as much help as you need. I have transcribing software, so it won't be hard, I just need to get off my lazy @ss and spend the time and effort to figure it out. If you're into doing with me, that's pretty sweet. It's late where I'm at, so I'll start working on some songs tomarrow. Have fun with Wintersun.

flamesofbodom 07-30-2005 08:46 PM

Yeah its like 10:45 here, but i have nothing else to do.

Shadows 07-30-2005 08:47 PM

Same here. Except I was down south (US) for the past week and had no access to a guitar, so I'm a little out of practice. Playing tonight is very importent to me, so I bid you all goodnight.

flamesofbodom 07-30-2005 08:48 PM

Bye bye

World tour? haha excellent, I was looking forward to the next time they'd be touring. Where did you find out about the tour though? There's nothing about it on the band's website, all I noticed was stuff about the australian and japanese tour

First they go to Australia and Japan in October, and then they follow with the US and Europe. No dates have been given for the US/Europe portion, so we'll have to wait and see just where they'll go.
