I can't stop listening to Coheed right now. I love them!
Alright, right about now is when I take the time to once again promote Coheed's brother band "3".
3 is fronted by Joey Eppard (yes, Josh Eppard's brother). He is an amazing guitarist. I'd say that he owns Claudio's *ss, but it's a completely different style. So please, if you get the chance, check them out on purevolume at http://www.purevolume.com/3, and above all, check out the song Bramfatura (the pv page only has a live version, I think). Dregs is also a great song by them, and a classic by them (I almost want to say it was the first song they wrote... but I don't know that for sure). Happy listenings! :thumb:
I will listen to them, last year when my friend saw them when the opened for Coheed he said they were garbage but I will listen to em. |
I like them a lot. I'm tempted to buy their cd.
I'm still not over the show I witnessed on the 16th. So amazing.
Nice, nice...I know they are incredible....
So I just listened to the Delerium Trigger EP. Better Than Evil surprised me, as I wasn't expecting it at all. The early versions of Delerium Trigger and 33 are better than the finished ones, in my opinion. The acoustic Junesong Provision is good too.
Ya that is on the re-release of SSTB.
Better than Evil reminds me of old school video game music.
Ya that is on the re-release of SSTB.
What is? Justin: Me too. |
The Junesong Provision acoustic..
DT on the EP has a different mood to it than the album version. Both 33's are good. I don't know which versions I like better though.
Ive never heard the Ep :-\
There was a YSI link going around a week or two ago.
Should I get the Coheed graphic novel or the new Thrice this weekend?

People have heard Coheed but they just don't like it around here. |

Opposite around here. Almost everyone that hears them likes them, except for people ive introduced them to in the last 2 weeks. Other bands im whoring: Saves the day, Glassjaw, Thursday, At The Drive-In. Kids these days, disrespekkin' da ATDI. |
Kill those kids.
I might. I told some chick to download 'Lopsided'. If she tells me she doesnt like it, ill kick her in the ovaries.
Nice. Bands I've whored to friends latley: Trophy Scars, Daughters, & Brazil.
Now.
Up here alone. |
I love playing Welcome Home on my guitar. Especially hitting that harmonic on the second time round of the intro.
Welcome Home is one of the most fun songs to play. Blood Red Summer and The Final Cut are really cool too.
EDIT: Someone I know that went to the show in Austin on the 24th said that Claudio didn't say any of the cuss words. Anyone else notice this at any other shows? |
I cannot for the life of me play that intro and actually have it sound anything close to how it sounds on the song :(. I guess I haven't really worked on it all that much though.
I can't get the sweeps on the intro to "Welcome Home". Mostly because I've never had to sweep before and have never had to learn the technique, but I'd like to know how. Any tips? You guys playing all these Co&Ca songs seem quite competent.
