Why do I have three stars? I'm just curious...I've only seen maybe two other people with three stars. It seems strange and I thought maybe you could answer it for me, SK.


EDIT: Bartender's been dealing with this question from me for weeks. If he starts rolling his eyes like "Oh :rolleyes: , Ripper, it's not a big f-ing deal..." I apologize. At this point it's just a certain curiosity than what it was at first: "Awwww...I only have three stars....what did I do wrong to not get four?! Am I JUST NOT COOL ENOUGH???!!!" etc. Sorry about asking again.

Anyway, some people have speculated that it's because I've been banned before getting stars and after the whole rep thing was introduced, so it's like a punishment. Is that true?

Yea, email Medopalis about the FA stuff, he is in charge of that, its his baby. I believe the 3 star thing is a result of a ban. Im not sure about the time limit before you are eligable for 4 stars. I also believe the time frame can be customized. I think basically it works like this. You get banned 2 times or more you are unable to achieve 4 stars until you have been ban free for 6 months. Im not sure if this is the system that applies here but on other boards I have moderated at this is similiar to how it worked.

Blah, I won't use it. Most of the people I ban know why they were banned. If they don't then I hope they get curious, read the rules, and search through thier posts and figure it out. If they do this they read the rules.

I'll probably use it.

It might be more useful if each mod posted once, and edited that post whenever a person was banned.

I need to bring that up to the other mods.
