That's the best review you've ever given me!
I've tried to add bass to the song in general but it never sounds good, especially because I'm never content with the bassist just following the guitar. I gave up after three different tries. My guitarist said the same thing about the tapping...it's not a riff that can really be tapped. I've lost hope of ever really playing the song in a band setting anyway, so it doesn't really matter much. What'd you mean by the bolded statement, though?
bah well you can just use it to fill in certain areas <_< it is if you change the notes :p oic so you have the rhythm, it's bassy, and it's heavy. then you have the two lead riffs. they're both roughly in the mid range, and don't really fill out the sound and so it's a little boring because you don't fill in the high end. |

I'll mess with octaves and see how it sounds. |

bah, triplets like that sound soloy regardless of how low you play them well not regardless but they do as you have them anyways. |
Currently digging: Army Of Flying Robot's Discography and Walls Of Jericho's new album.
WOJ is much better than I expected it to be. I knew AOFR is one of the best real screamo bands out there, though :p |

http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=28BAE71C0A379937 After you install the .exe, just make sure that the .rgk file is in the same folder as tabit. Bam, registered version. That key will only work with that version of tabit, so the trial you downloaded probably wont work with it. http://www.tabit.net/tabs/whatsnew.php The site has some awesome tabs. Some of the user-made originals are absolutely increadible. Like this guy http://www.tabit.net/tabs/list.php?f=1840
Sweet, thanks for that. Well I'm off to bed. I'll install the full version and listen to all of the song together tomorrow. Night J, Dave, Matt, Vince, and Jon. and whoever else I missed. Well I guess everyone's already off. Jon: I like the song, but yeah like vince said, it was a bit lacking in the high register. And the triplet part that fades at the end was nice, but maybe adding a little flair to it every few measures or so would be neat. Woo, a lot more stuff I could see with the full version. :) |

The song is 192 :p As far as missing high end...the third guitar was kind of an afterthought. It's more meant to compliment either the rhythem (like the chorus, the first breakdown, and the thrid breakdown) or the lead (the verse, second breakdown, and last breakdown) rather than be it's own thing. Probably because it's the first thing I've ever written with three guitars throughout and need practice :p Thanks so much for listening, though!!! |
Hey.

Sup thread? Seeing as this whole page was about Jon's music, I will whore my new recording pf Blame It On Bad Luck by Bayside. http://www.purevolume.com/cockitinmypocket
I still need to re-record the vocals though, need a free house to do them properly. |
Hey Chris, that sounds pretty good.
Your going to Leeds amirite? |
Hey Chris, that sounds pretty good.
Your going to Leeds amirite?
Yeah I am. Can't wait. :D Are you there for the whole weekend? |
Yeah, should be an experience :D
Yeah, should be an experience :D
17 days 18 hours and 52 minutes according to my Carling Clock :)
What day are you coming down on? I am going on the Thursday, which also happens to be the day I get my GCSE results, meaning either lots of drunken celebrations, or I will drink to cheer myself up. Either way, I can see myself getting wasted. I was just talking to my brother, and he recommended to take spirits, and then to buy beer there, because apparently anyone can get served at Leeds pretty much. :D |
I think I'll be heading down on the Thursday too. I was discussing with Butler if I want to get drunk or not, as its my first festival, I want to remember it.
My sister recommends to buy everything there due to the weight of it, and seeing as I wont be drinking much, that'll be my gameplan. I get my Standard Grade (GCSE) results in tomorrow :| |

I will be tipsy though in the day time, just because I plan to score some *** if I can. My brother said to take my own spirits though, but if I want beer to just buy it there, so it should be good either way. Are you and Butler (and anyone else going) meeting up? I may try to find you guys if you do meet up. And you get your results way earlier than us, but I'm sure you did your exams before I did so I guess it evens out. |
Thursday seems like tipsy day, and we all aim to score some *** Chris, not just you :p.
I'm not much of a spirit drinker, so that kinda rules me out of that. Butler and I are definitely meeting up, we've been talking about it since April, We should probably make a Leeds festival meetup thread or something. |

I normally hate vodka, but if you mix it with Kick energy drink from Tesco (like Red Bull, but nicer), with half vodka-half kick, it's really nice. So I am taking 3 bottles of vodka with me pretty much. That should last me. It's going to be such a good weekend. If you give me your mobile numbers before we go I'll come and hang with you guys for a bit. May take a bit of convincing to make my friends not get in a mood with me if I leave, but I should be alright to come. |
Tesco is a store?
Tesco is a store?

Hypermarkets!? What a silly concept. Like Dragonball Z, these markets these days. |

Morgan Spiced is the only spirit I'll drink. Yeah, that sounds cool Chris, I'll give you it closer to the festival k. |
Hypermarkets!?
What a silly concept. Like Dragonball Z, these markets these days.
Yeah, they are crazy. At one of them, all of the staff were on rollerskates because it was so huge and they had to go around it all. J: Yeah that will be fine. It's less than 3 weeks now, I can't wait. :D |
Last time I went camping, I stopped off at a Tesco somewhere kinda in the middle of nowhere, and the staff were having a 60's day, and were wearing afros and such.
It was hilarious, I had no idea what was going on. |

I'm off to see Gorilla Biscuits in about an hour and a half. |
Yeah, only this time I have to travel two hours to get there. :p
Haha. Probably the farthest I'd be allowed to travel by the parentals would be to austin since it's only 45 minutes away. They'd probably be crapping their pants the whole time though. :p |

Definitely. It should be amazing.
Probably the farthest I'd be allowed to travel by the parentals would be to austin since it's only 45 minutes away. They'd probably be crapping their pants the whole time though.
Well, I don't drive, so my dad agreed to drive me. :p |

Thanks Justin. Later.

My dad goes to shows with me if it's a band he likes. Social D for example.

Have fun tonight Brian.
My friend's dad is driving us to Leeds, which is about 4-5 hous away |
My dad goes to shows with me if it's a band he likes. Social D for example.
My dad sticks around for pretty much every show I go to, which is a lot. He pretty much likes everything though. i.e. He took me to see Leftover Crack, and was really impressed with Mischief Brew, even though he'd never heard them before. |
