At least I can attribute my love of Arsis to no one on these boards. That's reassuring.
What? Are you saying because i like Dargon, you can't be my Arsis buddy?

Shadows 09-11-2005 01:27 PM
He was sick of all the false knowledge speading around at the time
What does he mean by "false knowledge"?
What? Are you saying because i like Dargon, you can't be my Arsis buddy?
Not at all. I'm saying that I'm proud of myself for finding them on my own.

BoboTheRagingHobo 09-11-2005 01:29 PM

Dargon was a fucking elitest pig that did not belong here.

The place is a much better place with out him. End of story.

RiceMonster 09-11-2005 01:30 PM

I want Dargon back here now :(. He knew a lot about metal, and even when he was being an elitist, the stuff he would say was hilarious. He was never an ******* to em either.

No, Dargon was a great contributor to the Thrash Thread, and for this alone he deserves some credibility.

Kingofdudes 09-11-2005 01:31 PM

And God said: "Let there be internet and filtered tap water for all," and here I am.

I read something about YSI being banned in the site forum, confirm/deny?

dUSK 09-11-2005 01:31 PM

On the subject of MXers who disappeared/left, does anyone know what happened to The_JoZ?

Arucard 09-11-2005 01:32 PM

Ahh right. I found Emperor by myself, as i did with Crowpath, Avenged Sevenfold, Demons and Wizards, At The Gates, Argholsent and basically all the Power Metal and Punk i know. Still, 80% of my music taste comes from reccomendations from people on MX.

Shadows 09-11-2005 01:32 PM
No, Dargon was a great contributor to the Thrash Thread, and for this alone he deserves some credibility.
Contributing to a thread doesn't really outweigh the way he acted towards other posters. He was incredibly arrogant and relentlessly flamed for stupid reasons. I don't want people around here, no matter how much they may know about metal.
And God said: "Let there be internet and filtered tap water for all," and here I am.

I read something about YSI being banned in the site forum, confirm/deny?
It's true. YSI's are banned from MX because he thought the amount of music being illegally transferred was getting out of hand.

RCA 09-11-2005 01:33 PM
And God said: "Let there be internet and filtered tap water for all," and here I am.
Apparently you got hit pretty badly. We were without power/water for four days, but I bet you were off worse.

You obviously weren't around to see his contributions to that thread, which remains the cleanest (spam, dumbfuck, n00b-free) thread in all of R&M.

Hey, man. Have you found out if your house is okay?
On the subject of MXers who disappeared/left, does anyone know what happened to The_JoZ?
Yeah, he's always on AIM, but never on mx. He said that he just got sick of the "idiocy."

RiceMonster 09-11-2005 01:35 PM

The only real problem I had with Dargon was the constant bitch fights with Eleventeen. I wasn't keen on the "death to posers crew" either.

Thor 09-11-2005 01:35 PM

After watching Pulp Fiction again, I can't help but surrender to its awesomeness.
The only real problem I had with Dargon was the constant bitch fights with Eleventeen. I wasn't keen on the "death to posers crew" either.
Yeah, him and Matt were like little kiddies during their whinefests. Also, the DTP shouldn't have turned out the way Dargon made it. The whole concept behind that was completely different.

Shadows 09-11-2005 01:38 PM

What was the concept and what did it end up like? All of this took place while I was gone from MX.

Just because you are a nice/helpful guy in one thread does not give you the right to be a complete and utter ignorant shit wit to every one else with a different opinion out side of that said thread.

And his "death to posers crew" was absurd to say the least.

Dr. Jake Destructo 09-11-2005 01:39 PM

For sure, Lord Dargon is a cool user name. As for the man behind the name, I can't say I was too keen on him. I know he was probably a helpful guy in the thrash thread, and the like, but other than that, he was just an elitist. Basically, I agree with Bobo.

NP: The Doors- Unhappy Girl. Gotta love that backwards tracked organ. :)

That's understandable, and that DTP Crew was mine. Not his.

Lord Abortion 09-11-2005 01:41 PM

Ah I remember posing in that Neoli thread...good times.

Arucard 09-11-2005 01:41 PM

It was quite funny when i posted that thing where i went into that chat room and 'wizard' cybered with that stupid chick under his name.

I never knew that, he always made it seem like he created it.

He obviously warped it into is own little clusterfuck elitest circle jerking idea.

2 broken windows, multiple holes in the roof, half of my fence is gone, my chimney is gone, my patio is all over the neighborhood, almost got flooded(Everyone across the street from me did, I know some people that had to swim out of their houses) but at least my house is still standing.

"BITCH, BE COOL!"

And on topic, I didn't really have any problems with Dargon. I definitely remember those never-ending fights between Eleventeen and him, they seemed to be a weekly event. He was just really close-minded and arrogant.

And, welcome back Aaron.

Shred Danson 09-11-2005 01:42 PM

Jesus Christ, there seems to be a discussion about Dargon in here every 2 months.

Dr. Jake Destructo 09-11-2005 01:43 PM

Joe- Explain? Wizard cyber = /puts on wizard hat, casts lvl. IV eroticism?

Glad to hear it's not as terrible as some people got it. :-/ Hopefully they'll have your house fixed up in no time. :) When're you going back to school?

Yeah, he turned it into something it shouldn't have turned out to be. :(

Anyways, enough about Dargon. Bobo, do you know if Vlad Tepes were appearing on another split LP soon?

From what metal-archives say, they are split up and have not released any thing for quite some time. So I couldn't really tell ya, since there isn't much information about them running around.

It would be killer to hear new material from them, but I doubt it will happen since most of the LLN bands are disbanded as well.

RCA 09-11-2005 01:48 PM

True, I forgot they were an LLN band.

Shadows 09-11-2005 01:48 PM

This may sound n00bish, but what is "LLN"? Isn't it a French black metal thing?

RCA 09-11-2005 01:49 PM

Yeah, a French BM cult. Stands for "Les Legiones Noire".

RiceMonster 09-11-2005 01:49 PM

There are rumours that they are still making music, but don't distribute it publically.

Shadows 09-11-2005 01:50 PM
Yeah, a French BM cult. Stands for "Les Legiones Noire".
Cool, I knew I had heard something about that. I really need more French BM. I've heard it's the best BM scene in the world. :(

Yeah, that's what I heard.

/never liked Vlad Tepes that much anyway.

Dr. Jake Destructo 09-11-2005 01:51 PM

Since YSI is banned, could someone send a couple French BM songs to my email? Not via YSI, as I have Gmail.

spiralout7 @ gmail.com

Thanks in advance. :-D I feel obligated to listen to some FBM, as I always hear how great it is. :p What exactly does Les Legiones Noire mean in English?

Arucard 09-11-2005 01:53 PM

The Black Legions by any chance?

Shadows 09-11-2005 01:54 PM

That was my guess. I've seen it somewhere before but I can't look it up right now.

I'll send some to ya, gimme a few.

Not sure if you will like it, it's pretty raw and unproduced form of black metal for most people.

And the French Black Metal scene musically is probably the best right now.

NP - Nevermore - Inside Four Walls

Yay, I get to see Nevermore today wewt.
