If there's one movie that almost REQUIRES reading the book beforehand, it's 2001: A Space Odyssey. I understood the ending perfectly but a lot of people didn't, and I realize that it's pretty bizarre to the uninitiated.

I hate driving. I'm getting my license soon purely so I don't have to pay the $15 fee to renew my learner's. I don't think I'll get a car until I turn 19.

I haven't the faintest idea what happened, only that next time I watch the end of that movie, I'm going to put some nice music on in the background and hit mute.
