For those who care, here are the songs I've packaged up.
The songs in this package: Ugly- self-titled album Just Got Wicked, No One- 13 Ways To Bleed On Stage End of the World (acoustic)- B-side album, RE:A soundtrack Black Sunday, Gone Away, Rain Song, Remedy, The Day Seattle Died, Wasted Years- Year of the Spider Came All the Way, Thirteen, Check Please- unreleased songs With My Mind- Psi-Ops OST (the last song the second lineup did together) Self-titled years: Scooter (vox, guitar), Jeremy (bass), Sam (drums), Kelly (guitar) 13 Ways... years: Scooter (vox only), Jeremy, Sam, Kelly, Terry (second guitarist) YOTS years: same as 13 Ways... New lineup: Terry left for Evanescence, Kelly left for Allele. Scooter went back on guitar for the new album, but they hired some studio guitarist for when they go live. They originally hired Eddie Rendini (Darwin's Waiting Room), but Scooter didn't think he fit "Cold" so they gave him the pink slip. New album comes out in May. They also brought back Matt, who was in Grundig (Scooter/Jeremy/Sam/Matt's band before Cold before they had to change their name for legal reasons).
It isn't the album version, it's the acoustic version, hence it being on a b-sides album and RE:A soundtrack :)
Oh, ooh, I might have to download that then.... my bust :thumb: |
Indeed, they are very underrated, unfortunately.
Well, it depends on what years you listen to, haha.
His voice has gotten a lot stronger over the years from quitting smoking and not having to play guitar. EDIT: I'm not making excuses for the guy, it's just that it is true that not many people like his voice.
It's cool that another MXican is willing to support Cold. |

EDIT: I'm not making excuses for the guy, it's just that it is true that not many people like his voice.
Ah, well I'm not usually overly picky about the voices usually, but it doesn't mesh well with the music to me, and it's a bit...nasally?...like Creed, which I can't stand. |
NP: Weezer - Buddy Holly
Catchiest song ever.
Yea, Weezer is very catchy NP: Avenged Sevenfold - Unhouly Confessions |
NP: Good Charlotte - Girls and Boys
Also catchy. :) /gets lynched |
My problem with a lot of voices (even supposedly talented ones) is that they're just plain boring, unable to convey any type of emotion.
|
Haha, that's definitely understandable.
When you get a chance to go through all the songs, let me know and give an honest opinion about them. I'm not going to fanboy you, because every band has a weakness or two.
I'm on the thid song right now, still biggest issue I have is the vocals, especially because it's so dominant. The funny thing is this is pretty similar to 12 stones, who I like, but I think the vocals are just mixed a little too high in general. Otherwise I don't think it's bad, but not great either. Average thus far. |
NP: Good Charlotte - Girls and Boys
Also catchy. :) /gets lynched
LMAO, man I love you Jelle :naughty: |
NP: Good Charlotte - Girls and Boys
Also catchy. :) /gets lynched
I'm not afraid to admit I like some Good Charlotte every once in awhile. DN: For example? I do like emotion to a degree, but I can't stand (real) emo voices, which are supposed to be all emotion. |
Ok, fellas, here's a Belgian song for y'all to check out. It's a ballad of some sort, with clean guitars and piano. It's in my native Language. If anyone wants to hear it, go ahead. :)
I love it, personally. http://s3.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=01I9ONE9A6US1WYOR8274D8HS |
I like 1 Good Charlotte song - Seasons, I dunno, I love it for some reason.
Oooh Zep, 6,666 YAY |

DN: For example? I do like emotion to a degree, but I can't stand (real) emo voices, which are supposed to be all emotion.
Bob Dylan is definately the first one that comes to mind. His voice as so much depth to it, he can use it to convey so many things. Bowie's voice is good too. I'll have to get back to for more...I've been listening to rap a lot [more than I already do] lately so I'm still not sure. |
whats with all this emo talk
cmon, GC is pop-punk, not emo, if we were discussing Circle Takes The Square or Fugazi, then yes, that would be emo talk NP: Opeth - White Cluster **** shuffle for WinAmp keeps giving me Opeth, not a bad thing, but the choices out of 351 songs....... I've heard Benighted 3 times in the past half hour.... |
