Easter holidays!!! WOOTACIOUS!!!!
Thats fooked, we dont break up until next Friday :( |
We've broken up but I've got a revision day on Monday :(
|
Meh, id rather that than not break up until Easter and have to revise for the whole time.
Im young and have the SATs after Easter. |
phil, i saw boys night out when they came with rise against and comeback kid. i really didn't enjoy them. luckily there was a skateboard company (don't know which one, i chugged a bunch of booze before the concert, sobered up almost right in the break between boys night out and comeback kid) doing a bunch of contests for free shoes.
god i haven't showered in a while. my hair is incredibly greasy. the last time i showered was... sunday. yay. that's almost a full 5 days. i love being on breaks. my mom's sleeping right now, and we may be going to my friend's house to snowboard/teach myself how to snowskate, so i think i may shower before she gets up. hmmm..... |
Thats just horrible lol.
Anyone wanna comment on my options im taking in year 10? Extended Science - Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Music Business Studies Geography and History if I cant get BS or Geog. |
I just watched Lamentations. Attempted to sing along with Harvest. :-/
Best live tone ever |
man, our education here is so limited. every branch of studies is just condensed into one. for example: history, geography, political science, etc. is all grouped into social. social 10-20-30 for the smart kids, and social 13-23-33 for the not so smart kids.
do you not need math and english? |
More choice than I had at GCSE.
I took History and ICT, very easy. I know some people who did Geography and hated it. Music is is fairly hard, apparently. edit -
do you not need math and english?
Those are mandatory. |
Music is stoopid easy at GCSE level.
Oh and I just got back from rehearsals with the big band and guess what? We have been invited to play a set at Chester-le-Street in front of between 3,500 and 5,000 people. Cool huh? |
I remember in HS I think it was 11th grade I had to retake algebra because I got straight F's from a different teacher hahah. Lucky the next guy I had liked baseball so I used to sit in the front and talk to em about it.
I got a B- somehow  Just shows how phony school systems can be. Just like being on sports teams in HS especially football. You can be dumb as a box of rocks but if your a great player your going to CRUISE by in school. |
Cracking stuff.
Music is stoopid easy at GCSE level.
Ah right. The people who I heard it from had no musical experience whatsoever. Then again, most subjects are easy at GCSE level. |
Yeah I agree Jim. That's how it is in Australia too. In England however, all work is sent to a 3rd party moderating office, so nobody gets nice points.
|
The only thing schools good for is learning how to deal with people and situations, that’s the big thing about school. I learned plenty of lessons through that from school and that was the biggest thing I actually learned and took away from.
As far as learning and understanding more academic things I did more of that outside of school from everyday life. It's a lot easier to learn when you’re interested in something. Like building and making something for example. I know that sitting with my nose in an algebra book isn’t interesting to me in the slightest. My brain shuts off instantly when I see that kinda stuff. |
My brother did Geography and Music at GCSE and from what ive seen him do it looks awesome.
He wrote a piece of music in the style of Jimi Hendrix and got an A* In Geography he had to go to PMT in Birmingham and ask people questions, and other cool stuff. He got an A in that. I love Maths, I have to be in the right fram of mind to work though, thats the problem. Especially in Art, the teacher expects us to sit down and draw, its harder than that. |
Ah. Depends what exam board you're on too. I can't remember which exam board it was, but one of them had ridiculously easy exam papers.
Taking History, Politics, Computing and Maths at college at AS level atm, its the brilliant. Edit - What you predicted for SATS? |
Yup.
Even at the college level it's 70% BS. Maybe more.. It's all about learning to deal with different kinds of Bull. Tolerance training if you will. Occasionally you learn something interesting along the way. |
I dropped highschool to learn about cars. I was gonna re-re-repeat (?)
9th grade. |
I havn't done homework in years and I pass with a's and b's. It is total bull****.
|
I dropped highschool to learn about cars. I was gonna re-re-repeat (?)
9th grade.
Hey it doesnt matter man, most of the people I know didnt even finish school and their making MASSIVE cash. I actually graduated and they are making way more then I ever did. Just goes to show it's who you know and how your connected.
Yup. Even at the college level it's 70% BS. Maybe more.. It's all about learning to deal with different kinds of Bull. Oh snap.
I told my band teacher to fuck off on wednesday, and now the principal is just calling my parents about it. It's funny how he said that I said it infront of the whole class, when it was just two kids and very much under my breath. Not like I care though. I'm already in so much trouble it isn't funny. :3 Grounded from the comp until further notice. Sneaking on here now until my parents arrive. I don't get it. Why can teachers disrespect their students so much, but god forbid one of us says something back to protect ourselves? It seems like all they want us to learn is to be a total pushover. Don't fight back, run away. Don't do drugs, tell on those who do. Don't talk back, allow everyone to insult you. Accept everything you are given, do not raise any questions about it, and just sit there and be a total moron. Gah. |
Off to a party fellas. Catch ya'll later. Peace.
|
I don't get it.

Yup.
To quote a rather famous man, true words... "...I'm tired of being hired and fired the same day But **** it, if you know the rules to the game play Cause when we die we know were all going the same way It's cool to be player, but it sucks to be the fan When all you need is bucks to be the man Plus a luxury sedan Too comfortable and roomy in a six..." Welcome to life. In america it's a big game - who you are, what you are worth, how you allow yourself to perceived. You can rise above, play the game, wallow below or just be the fan. |
Edit - What you predicted for SATS?
English - 7 Science - 7 Maths - 8 Our school is also piloting an ICT SAT which is what schools will be taking if the SATs carry on after this year. Some schools in England dont have to take SATs. |
Well I haven't introduced myself yet, so I'll just get that over with... My name is Luc, and I'm from Saskatchewan, Canada. I see we're all talking about schools right now, and how teachers do **** to students, but yeah, that's just how it is... I live with it though, and can pass with an average of 85 =/. They say drinking makes you not very smart, but I'm still one of the smartest people in my class of 12 haha...
|
A No0b To the site who types Correctly!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU you are by far my favorite No0b here. And what ever you do do not get in an arguement until around your 1,000th post lol.
|
amen brother.
and dont claim your one of the smartest people in your 12 class. that just makes you sound like one of the stupidest in said class. |

Exactally. I'm really interested in science, which makes paying attention in the class a hell of a lot easier. I don't mind math, but it diffentally isn't my favorite thing to do. It also helps if you have teachers that expect you to have a personality and not just sit down and take notes the entire class. My geometry teacher this year is a friggen genius, but he's also really cool. He was telling us about how he snuck onto the Wimbledon tennis courts during the practice before the tourniment by going through the press entrance. |
Well i just got in. Boys night out didnt bother to show up. The bassist from Bullets To Broadway was worth a squirt.
Less than jake were incredible. In the final circle pit, my feet didnt touch the floor, i got clocked in the face by a shoulder and an elbow to the ribs. I also got my face slammed into some fat dudes man cleavage. All in all, awesome gig |
haha there's always an abundance of man cleavage in pits.
|
There was more than usual. Me and the T-Bonist were singin at each other :D

What grade are you in? |

It just makes it even more painful - I'm sitting there listening and all I hear is "the number of protons equals the number of electrons. so If I have 5, 5, protons, how many electrons do I have? That's right, 5. And if I have 5 electrons? Yes, 5 protons. How many electrons will there be if there's 18 protons? And if there's 13 electrons? What about 3 neutrons? See, it's a trick question, you can't know how many protons or electrons there are. So, once more, the number of protons equals the number of electrons. So 5 electrons, 5 protons" And he even does hand gestures, with fingers being protons and electrons. You want to shoot yourself now, don't you? |
my science teacher was a lady and she ALWAYS had hard nipples. every class. all class.
|
One of my teachers is !REALLY! hot, And one day I think she was like almost flerting with me. (I was at a movie and she was there to my suprise)

My friends little brother over at grecko middleschool was "Raped" by a teacher. It was all over the news. Debra Lefave... Teachers are dumber than the kids. |
I don't have any hot teachers...
I'm probably going to get another crash soon... don't know what type, but i want another one. |
