Well, I don't know anyone who posts there. =\
Several people who post here also post there.

Puma 08-06-2006 04:31 PM

Eff the hardcore forum! Buncha elitists.

Well, they used to be anyway. >_>

BridgeToSolace 08-06-2006 04:34 PM

It's a tight knit community of dudes who don't take things very seriously.

Not much more elitist than us, really.

Chilly-Bean-Bop 08-06-2006 04:40 PM
Several people who post here also post there.
I'll think about it, maybe I'll post elsewhere.

Jom 08-06-2006 04:42 PM

Thanks again all you sexy people for posting in my FA. It makes it look like I got lots of replies already!
R&M sucks.
There are a lot of cool people there, but there are also a lot of people who make it a less fun place to visit. The Classic Rock thread and every once in awhile the community thread are good, and the R&M L&R thread is good for a couple laughs, but I don't blame you when people say that that forum is pretty much dominated by metal, which I do think it's true.

Forums and its members change. Lots of sweet people leave (:() and it's almost impossible to replace them. But, there are cool new people who help fill the void, and every once in awhile a sweet person comes back from a hiatus to drop in and say hey.

However, I don't think a Rock/Metal split is needed because it's not necessary at all.
Hardcore/Emo sucks.
I don't get on with any of those guys because I remember how much they tried to start a spam war. So, I started deleting threads, and Reiner told them who was doing it, which made things worse because he should have done his job in cleaning up instead of making me do it. Egging them on didn't help, either.

But he's a good Entertainment mod, I guess, and he's not nearly as much of a dumbshit as Trav is.

I would probably only post in the CT which wouldn't be worth it, all I would do is spam.

Who knows, I might show up in R&M or other genres posting in band threads, etc. I guess that I just need to get to know some regulars or actually listen to that type of music. Who posts there?

As far as following rules, Reiner is a really terrible mod.

There were pages and pages of porn in the community thread a few times. He would post along withthem.

But he's a good guy.

I love Arsis a ton.

Other than some power metal bands, Arsis, and the occaisonal Dimmu Borgir song (I would like to listen to more symphony oriented metal), I do'nt listen to any metal that doesn't have breakdowns in it.

Although I think Otep can be kinda fun to listen to.

I probably won't listen to metal.

Is there a Black Sabbath thread though? <3 Black Sabbath

Understanding In a Crash 08-06-2006 05:00 PM

I am so loving The Bled again.

Jom 08-06-2006 05:04 PM

Yeah, there's a Sabbath thread in R&M. One of the things I don't like is that a lot of the band threads have these absolutely stupid "creative" names. And some are so off-the-wall, they make no sense whatsoever.

And really, I don't really post in pop-punk except in this thread and in a few other threads. Sometimes I write articles and you guys always post in those, which is cool, but my last one kind of fell off the face of the forum so I took a break from doing that. I wrote that one in R&M today, which is my first article-thing in awhile, not counting reviews and things.

I <3 your articles.

You should write one again.

I took a glance at your article, very in depth it seems.

I guess it'd be cool doing that for other genres if you listen to other genres.

Maybe I will do some exploring.

Jom 08-06-2006 05:10 PM

I think the reason why I don't write as often is not because they take me awhile to write, but because I think I write too damn much and people go "Derr tl;dr you tosser!"

And that is no fun.

But thanks again for reading. It's nice to know that I don't have to bribe people with rep anymore, haha.

Chilly-Bean-Bop 08-06-2006 05:11 PM

If you make it interesting, theres no reason that people should post that.

Dead Star 08-06-2006 05:12 PM

tl;dr is outlaw'd though.

Its really cool you put a lot of effort into them, the half assed ones are no fun to read.

Chilly-Bean-Bop 08-06-2006 05:16 PM

It would be hard for me to write something super-huge, I'd probably just end up plagiarizing which isn't cool.

Jom 08-06-2006 05:23 PM

Yeah, plagiarization sucks.

I like to throw in quotations in my FAs, though. When I saw the "We want cheeseburgers!" quote, I was like, "I MUST put that in my FA!!1!11!11!!!"

And plus I like quotations in general.

Jessizzle 08-06-2006 05:24 PM

I effffffin owned today!!!!!111 man it was the best iv ever ridden a horse in my entire life.
But i ****ed up a couple times. In one round, two jumps in.. I forgot my course. I couldnt even think of the next one.. so i stopped, yelled ****.. then ORANGE! and went to it, and owwwned the pants off everyone. Like. best course iv ever done in my life. and im proud to brag about it.. even though i had a blonde moment.
THEN it my other round, It was BEAUITFUL till i lost my stirrup, which is almost as dumb as forgetting my course, but we ended up looking sweet, and Nailed the bending line i was worried about.
I came out 10th over all, which sucks since i normally get like.. Second. BUT i rode better than ever, so i think that counts more to me.

Chilly-Bean-Bop 08-06-2006 05:24 PM

lolz

I guess it must be interesting then.

edit: To Jom.

Jom 08-06-2006 05:27 PM

Equestrian sucks!

Just kidding. I am glad you were successful, but because one of my ex-friends is an equestrian, I show extreme animosity towards the sport in general, but not at any of the horses or riders.

Unless it's the aforementioned ex-friend. She can get bucked in the face or fall off her horse or something.

Fish 08-06-2006 05:28 PM

animosity? big wordss :(
Dont wish that upon everyone, its sucks, and has happened to me, my share of time.

Chilly-Bean-Bop 08-06-2006 05:33 PM

Hi, Dave.
animosity? big wordss :(

Hatred.*

And I don't wish that upon everyone - only the ex-friend :)

And I don't really wish her to get hurt, but I wouldn't complain.

If she has a crappy life, she deserves it because of the way she has treated her friends (not just me) in the past.

She'd have a better chance at boning Barbaro than some other jockey.

ITT: Jom is no longer bitter about stupid crap in the past

The first thing I thought of when I was reading your main article was "This is copy+pasted from an official site, right?"

It sounds much more like a real bandography rather than something some random dude on the internet wrote about a band he liked.

You always do a great job, man. Cheers.
