I think Marilyn Moore is my favorite song on this as of now. I love the bit at the end when the drums come in, and the guitar work is great. It's got such a bleak, hopeless atmosphere about it.

EVOL is way underrated.

It has some of my favourite SY lyrics as well, some really cool, dreamy ****. In The Kingdom #19 especially.

EVOL is in my top 3 Sonic Youth albums.

I heard it might get reissued around the same time as DN does. I really hope so.

I think it has the best "mood" of the three late eighties albums. Listening to it in the morning and listening to it during sundown are the best times.

I'm usually kind of scared to listen to this because it usually tests my patience. "Oh Yeah" is Cans best song and even though "Halleluwah" is essentially the same groove for 18 minutes it works to perfection.
