Okay, I have found something positive. I site about The Pillows in English turned up. It'd been timing out all week, so I was starting to wonder if it was going to permanently shut down. But it's working now.

So the spotlight will be up soon. Not as much info as I would have liked, but I can't be picky anymore. The uploads will arrive whenever the modem stops mocking me.

My favorite thing to come out of Japan, though, were the old school Godzilla movies. The ones with the guy in a rubber suit stepping on model cars/trains/buildings...and dubbed in English. Brilliant. :p

That was Godzilla vs. Destroyer, made in 1995, in which Big G's nuclear heart or whatever inside him began to melt down. At the end of the movie, Godzilla melts down and is destroyed once and for all...in a totally badass scene.

But then they use the old "the radioactive energy brought Godzilla Jr. back to life!" gimmick, so there's still a Godzilla.

Oh good, I'm not the only one who did that. I also tried to talk underwater like the fish dude in the old He-Man cartoon. That was a mistake I lived to regret.

TMS: I saw the first two episodes. They were indeed weird, but each had a good amount of simple comedy.
