Tyler 07-31-2008 03:05 PM

Goth bars are hilarious, I love watching 19 year old vamp-goths try to walk in their 5 inch platforms.

repcak 07-31-2008 03:05 PM

haha, true

gmoneyguy 07-31-2008 03:15 PM

Word.

Shattered_Future 07-31-2008 03:43 PM

Pity there's not one near the college I'm going to...some of the people going there would fit in just fine.

Leave for RX Bandits and Maps And Atlases in 18 minutes. :D

Doesn't sound like a half-bad show. Have fun.

pate 07-31-2008 04:00 PM

Never heard of either band.

But I am seeing Metal Church on Sunday. \m/

RX Bandits are a pretty well-known Ska band, I'm surprised you haven't heard of them.

Aren't they old?

Permanent Solution 07-31-2008 04:11 PM

RX Bandits have been together for ~15 years I'd think.

*and have only gotten good recently, but damn are they good

Permanent Solution 07-31-2008 04:51 PM

I actually dig their old stuff a lot too. Gun in my Hand is great. Plus Progress is probably their best album still IMO.

It's all about The Resignation man, it's hardly ska (which isn't necessarily the reason why I like it best) but it's solid and has some weird *** stuff throughout it

Sleepy 07-31-2008 04:54 PM

To break this stalemate:

Progress > Resignation

Sorry jcs...

[QUOTE=Sleepy;16539799]To break this stalemate:

****!

I don't really see what's good about progress, the only songs I really like on it are VCG3 and Who Would've Thought but then again maybe I haven't given it a good enough listen...

Permanent Solution 07-31-2008 04:57 PM

Analog Boy and Infection are fantastic.

Sleepy 07-31-2008 04:57 PM

Progress has a myriad of different sounds on it while still remaining catchy. There's a dynamic change every one or two songs that keeps it fresh without launching it into some spastic nosedive to the avant-garde.

Not that I don't love Toby Driver.

Pop-ish ska experimentations, I would define this as.

Resignation was also good, just not quite as good.

Moon Flavor 07-31-2008 05:02 PM

But Resignation has Republic, Mastering the List, and Dinna-Dawg which are all mad epicness plus a bunch of other cool songs!

Tyler 07-31-2008 05:04 PM

wtf someone cut a teen's head off with a hunting knife on a greyhound bus wtf how does this happen

"stabbed the young man 40 or 50 times without rage or emotion". After everyone else got off the bus he cut the kid's head off. "The killer taunted the police during a 3 hour standoff by dangling the severed head out the window".

Sleepy 07-31-2008 05:04 PM

But you have a penis!

Whoops, that's irrelevant. Freudian slip.

I never said I didn't like Resignation. I love it. Just not quite as intensely as I love your pe...Progress.
