Broken Arrow 05-15-2005 11:20 AM
That's a good song. They have some really good stuff, especially on Chicago Transit Authority.
It's an awesome song.

The other day I heard a Green Day song that ripped 25 or to 4 off so badly. Its practicaly the same riff just played slower.

Whatever it was it drove me nuts.

lunch998 05-15-2005 11:27 AM

Green Day is really getting on my nerves these days. Especially since one of my friends is a hardcore Green Day fanboy and he doesn't believe anything can be better than they are.

freakmeeko 05-15-2005 11:31 AM

^Just a couple days ago I asked a friend who he thought the greatest guitarists were. He said, "Uhh..Hendrix, Cobain, and Billie Jean Armstrong".

jpj 05-15-2005 11:32 AM

I think Dookie is an awesome CD, but after that they just really suck.

Pre-Dookie and Dookie I like a lot, but now its just so annoying and redundant.

BludgeonySteve 05-15-2005 11:54 AM

I liked Warning. And American Idiot has like 2 songs that I enjoy. Dookie has about 2 songs that I liked. Not much overall quality on their albums.

*wtf, guys? Now i'm the 4th highest poster in this thread. I used to be second

TheDMV 05-15-2005 11:56 AM

What do you mean by 4th highest?

I am quite teh classic rock fan.

I was quite surprised yesterday, I heard Comfortably Numb on the radio. Usually my classic rck station just plays WYWH or snippets of DSOTM.

lunch998 05-15-2005 01:47 PM

Yea, I've only heard WYWH, Brain Damage, ABItW 2, and Fearless on the radio.

jpj 05-15-2005 01:49 PM

One time they played On the Run on the radio. I thought it was quite odd.

I got Sabbath Bloody Sabbath today, and it's fucking awesome.

slowhand 05-15-2005 01:50 PM

I don't think I have ever heard a Pink Floyd song on the radio. There's no Classic Rock station here in Puerto Rico.

But my girlfriend told me she heard WYWH on the radio.

Woodstock 05-15-2005 01:53 PM

My radio station never stops playing Comfortably Numb.

Glitterati 05-15-2005 01:53 PM

I think there's only one classic rock band I don't like.

And it's Aerosmith.

jpj 05-15-2005 01:58 PM

So do you like Styx, Journey, and Foreigner, too?

....eww

RockAndRoll 05-15-2005 01:59 PM

I'm having a brain fart what's WYWH stand for?

edit: nevermind, wish you were here obviously.

You forgot Rush.

lunch998 05-15-2005 02:01 PM
You forgot Rush.
JPJ likes Rush though.

RockAndRoll 05-15-2005 02:02 PM

My radio station plays the great gig in the sky, lunatic and eclipse together, Another brick in the wall (both parts), Wish you were here and Comfortably numb(a few times). Oh and us and them i think.

Glitterati 05-15-2005 02:02 PM
So do you like Styx, Journey, and Foreigner, too?

....eww
1. I wouldn't really consider them "classic."

2. I forgot about them.

3. I don't really listen to them.

4. ....there is no number 4?

jpj 05-15-2005 02:02 PM

Rush should never be grouped with those bands. They are three of the most talented musicians of all fucking time.

/fact

RockAndRoll 05-15-2005 02:03 PM

Neil Peart > the other two

Alex > Geddy

I love the Wilburies. Nobody at my school have ever heard of them, except me obviously. I only have volume 1 and am searching for Vol. 3. Handle With Care is a great song.

I honestly hate Rush, but have to admit that they are extremely talented.
