Phew, what a day. First day of Sophomore year in high school.
I hate most of my teachers, they're so.... bland. 1st period - Mrs. Schrock teaches Spanish III, and she's boring. 2nd period - Mrs. Grimshaw teaches History and she's rad beyond reason. At our school, if you're tardy, you get a detention. But with her you can sing a song and get out of tardies. She's a really cool teacher. 3rd period - Barnes is a PE teacher, I'm not allowed to rate him. 4th - Mckee is the most BLAND teacher ever. His voice is monotonous beyond reason and it really bugs me. I'm switching out of that class. I can't pay attention. 5th - Bonis is my chem teacher and she's pretty nice, but I don't know anyone in the class. It's a bunch of Juniors and Seniors and the 2 sophomores in there I despise. 6th - Eckert is a really boring teacher too, I don't like her that much and everyone in the class is really quiet. Long day, man. :( How's everyone doing? |
You only have six classes a day? I have seven. :( Sounds like your day, on average, sucks equally as bad as mine. I feel your pain.
|
I only have 4. :)
NP: Agalloch - This Old Cabin |
1st and 2nd period are pretty cool but the rest suck.
I used to have 7 classes during middle school, so I'm guessing your classes are shorter than mine. |
How long are yours? Mine are 50 min. each. Starting next semester I'll only have six as I'll finally have a real study hall.
|
I have 4 classes a day, 88 minutes each. It's not bad at all except for Health because it's just so boring.
|
To be honest, I really don't know.
I never took the time to memorize the minutes because it's really obscure but I just know around when the class gets out. For example, first period gets out around 8:45 |
Phew, first day of freshman year was such a breeze :) I got really nervous over nothing.
First period: Theater. I'm not really interested in this class, and I don't want to do productions in front of 2200 people. I asked my Theater teacher/actress if I could transfer to Biology or Business Administration and she said I'd have to wait until Wednesday to transfer. Whatever. Second Period: Algebra 1A. Not a bad class at all; have a ton of friends in it, and the teacher is pretty cool. Plus, he's a huge Floyd fan, so yeah. Third period: PE. You know Gunnery Sargent Hartman from Full Metal Jacket? Well, that's pretty close to what my PE coach is like. He said well be running about 3 miles a week, give or take. The PE lockers are for shit, too. Yes, he will PT us all until we fucking die. Fourth period: Computer Literation. Lots of friends, very easy class. Teacher is very nice, funny too. Mouses suck though. Fifth period: Spanish. Very young, witty teacher with a lot of sophomores in it. Seems pretty fun. Sixth period: English. The same teacher I have for Theater I have for English. Don't know many people in it, but the class generally seems pretty easy. This was the class I asked to be transfered from Theater from. So yeah, very easy day, and it was good to catch up with friends I only usually see at school. |
Ah, your a freshman! Where?
I'm a junior (in HS...) and I take TV Production, English, AP World History, Spanish 4, Precal w/ analysis, SAT Prep, Guitar (I don't learn anything, I'm just there to record for free and help little kids change strings), and Biology (so easy, it's a freshmen class and since I took physics in 9th grade and I'm now a junior it's so easy) |
The English teacher at my school teaches Theater too...weird
|
I have Health class. It is both boring and useless - a combo I never thought I'd honestly see in a school.
Junior year is so much harder than I thought it would ever be. :( **** AP classes. |
Ah, your a freshman! Where?
Cypress High School, in Orange County. |
Cypress High School, in Orange County.
That's not the first time "Cypress" and "High" were in the same sentence   I kill me. Ah man, all this high school talk has me remembering my junior and senior years in high school. Good times indeed. |

There's a freshman hell week where I go which is great because my sister is a freshman. |
That's not the first time "Cypress" and "High" were in the same sentence   I kill me.
Heh, that's actually the first time I really realized that. The thing that surprised me the most was the friendliness of the juniors and seniors. My schools doesn't really seem to be that cliche high school where the seniors give the freshman who went into the wrong bathroom a swirly in the toilet. Not at all. |
Heh, that's actually the first time I really realized that.

I would like to see that just for the sheer the comic value of it. We only really study mental health, but we watch one movie after another. Complete waste of time. |
Right kidos, i need a quick assesment of this photo. Do i look totally pissed in it? It was taken by my mate just after we got back from the pub tonight, and he thinks i do.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v517/_HeAvYArMs_/Joe.jpg Thanks. |
You look drunk and about to hurl moreso than "pissed."
Anyway, greetings and salutations to all. NP: REM (shaddup) |

It was pretty funny. We were talking in world history about it today (no idea how it got on topic) but I was like "yea I went to catholic school so I learned all that in like 3rd grade." but yea the video was...interesting  |
Pissed = drunk in English slang. Well, im not drunk. Gawd.
Also, i'm wearing my faverouite cool shoes  |
Yes, you look pretty drunk...
NP: Orion - Metallica |
Oh well. The shoes make up for it. Please?
....Please? |
You don't look pissed. It's obvious you were drinking though.
|
Pissed = drunk over there? Oh shi!
/fails as a European |
Oh well. The shoes make up for it. Please?
....Please?
 Yes, they do Remember the Chumbawumba song "Tub Thumpin?" I remember when I was like four I was so shocked when I read the lyrics and it said "Pissin the night away." But then I was told it means to get drunk, or something like that. |
Haha. Up until that post i thought it was 'Kissin' the night away!'
Im such an idiot. |
I'm going through my CD collection on my computer and deleting any that I don't listen to. A long and tedious process unfortunately, seeing as I have fifteen hundred or so.

Hahaha, you went to a Catholic school too? I think going there has mademe more corrupt than any internet forum. |
Hey Shadows, i joined the Arsis forum. Go check my posts if you can be arsed.
Haha. Up until that post i thought it was 'Kissin' the night away!'
Im such an idiot.
Me too...except that was 12 years ago Don't worry, you're in good company
I'm going through my CD collection on my computer and deleting any that I don't listen to. I'm probably not going to delete them... but I wish the YSI thread was still open, It's nice gettin a new song every now and then without having to worry about the perks of Kazaa (even though I hate illegal downloading...) /hypocritical
Hahaha, you went to a Catholic school too? 1 200 songs, or albums?
|
1 200 songs, or albums?
Songs, no way I'd have 1,200 albums.
Oh yea, 9 years of my life I wasted in that hell whole
I guess it wasn't that bad, met my gf there. |
Ahh, I was talking about albums.
|
Ahh, I was talking about albums.
You have 1,500 ALBUMS?! Man I've got like 100. |
Songs, no way I'd have 1,200 albums.
I guess it wasn't that bad, met my gf there.
It was a waste of time for me. I ended up hating everyone there by eighth grade and I'm not a religious person. But now that I'm in a Catholic high school (:upset: ) I actually have friends, so it's not as bad. |

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v517/_HeAvYArMs_/Joe.jpg Thanks.
Nice get up. Were you playing in a Franz Ferdinand cover band? :p And yeah, I don't think upperclassmen beat up on freshmen all that much...I think that's just something invented by TV and the movies. |
I'm a strong supporter of filesharing. I've downloaded probably 90% of my albums.

So yeah, very easy day, and it was good to catch up with friends I only usually see at school.
First Period: Anatomy. The teacher is retarded, and I need to summarize an article dealing with both my interests and the human anatomy, I want to do one summarizing something about M. Shadow's throat problems, however whenever I search for one, it's always some "Hardcore" kid ranting about how he's a sell out, or someone saying LOL A7X IZ HARE METULL NOWZ! So if someone can find me an actual article.... it would be appreciated. Second Period: Study Hall. Goodness, sleep! Plus I get to do my homework at school before I have classes[except for Anatomy], thus giving me a lot of free time. Third Period: Health. Woo, the teacher is a total psycho and needs to be shot. Fourth Period: Pre-Calc. Mr. Wagner is the ****, too bad I suck at Math. Fifth Period: Honors English. So easy, want to know why? The teacher just rants, then gives us homework, and it's usually just read this and then summarize it [finding the thesis etc.]. Sixth Period: German III. It's freaking amazing, the Lehrerin speaks in German at all times, and gets mad at you if you speak in English, so it's really really hard, but really really educational. Seventh Period: Journalism I. I'm currently writing an article for the school paper about misusage of termonology. The teacher is gay [literally, he has a male lover] but he's also the fecking man, he bakes cookies for us and then lets us hang out all the time. Eighth Period: Modern European History. I signed up for this course because I'm interested in history courses, and I'm pretty well read in oldschool European History [I stole my brother's old AP Euro book and have read it back to back], so I wanted something new, you know? Well... what do we get... the industrial revolution... why it's something we learned about in... yes! SEVENTH FECKING GRADE! Not only that, but people I remember having Social Studies with in Middle School are struggling with this topic... the one girl asked the teacher what "urbanization" is and how it's spelled, then followed up with "Why does Holland have two capitals," which is one of the most false and retarded questions EVER. But at least I got to do a pro-Child Labor essay today . |
