Nah, the firl who played Seek & Destroy (I think?) haven't seen it for a while, yeah, she could be in my band anyday

/Deserves to be hit multiple times for that....
She didn't audition to be in Metallica...

oh, and by the way

/slaps

Chu 07-18-2005 03:52 PM

She just played for ****s and giggles? That's awesome :o

Thanks :naughty:

Father_Jack 07-18-2005 03:53 PM

She's also in Some Kind Of Monster. Same scene though.

Rob owns. The only thing I like better with Jason is his singing, Rob is a backup singer but Newsted had potential to be a kickass lead singer. Robzilla/Donkey Kong > All

I love his crabwalk, his hair flinging (during St Anger, for example) and his little "prance", like he's hopping up but still walking.

hethamulburton 07-18-2005 07:06 PM

Jason sucked in Binge and Purge singing wise. Plus he had some disgusting locks.

yea but you gotta pay a lot to be in the club to get to go to the fan apprecitation (way sp) day

i liked jason in B&P. i liked his singing over the other bassists but i like his playing the least

Schecterguitarist 07-18-2005 07:28 PM

You know I think Metallica should hav played some different songs on the S&M album, like insted of devils dance, bleeding me, outlaw torn, until it sleeps, they couldve done saniterium, fade to black, ride the lightning would hav been cool and the unforgiven. I also thought the for whom the beel tolls performance was bad...i liked it for a while but then decided the studio version was much better

Newsteds hair looked f***in cool in binge and purge, it was a mohawk left rly rly long (shaved at the sides but not on top)

Schecterguitarist 07-18-2005 07:29 PM

Also, Newsted sounded great singing seek and destroy in san diego on the DVD, kinda like lemmy from motorhead

Joe 07-18-2005 07:33 PM

Use the edit button, por favor

Yes agreed. The two reasons not to get S&M are Fade to Black and Sanitarium. The reasons to get it are One, Master of Puppets, and No Leaf Clover. But they were also promoting a new album, so they had to play some new stuff (except they planned to release S&M, it should have had those two songs)

Check this out :thumb:

Primus-Master of puppets

Jasons little bass solos were cool, but dragged on a little too long. One of the coolest parts of the seattle concert was when they played part of to live is to die.

Bazarov 07-18-2005 10:35 PM

Sick man, thanks for the Primus upload, I've never heard this.

Britton 07-18-2005 11:34 PM

Dude thats very unimpressive...so he played some one elses music...
big deal I mean I love Metallica and I love to play them, Like primus too
but come on who can't play Metallica and why does primus need to do the first minute
of MOP?

MyDarkRomeo 07-19-2005 02:58 AM

Enter Sandman
Orion
One
Four leaf Clover
And both unforgivins

im not a big fan of St Anger, but i gotta say it is sorta growin on me

hammet_ownz 07-19-2005 04:26 AM

for leaf clover. riiiiiiiiiight. nice research on that one champ ;) legend

fatbandit 07-19-2005 05:13 AM

Blah, whatchoo mean Rob's too young? I'm pretty sure he's the same age as the rest of them...?

And his backing vocals suck  Orlando Citrus Bowl - Blackened. Listen to the backing vox ;)

I really want to see him live, simply to see how he slaps with his bass that low... His solo is silly. Junglessence has clean fingerstyle parts and distorted slap. If anything, that's the wrong way around...

:smash:

hammet_ownz 07-19-2005 05:18 AM

i swear id go watch him just to watch him solo. all these awesome bassists in the polls and id go see him first cos of his stage presence and ability

Carlos Santana 07-19-2005 05:23 AM
for leaf clover. riiiiiiiiiight. nice research on that one champ ;) legend
yeah lol i noticed that too

hammet_ownz 07-19-2005 05:28 AM

goose. -sniff sniff- i smell severe fan boy.

james hetfield to fan: dude, whats your favourite song?
fan(boy) : four leaf clover man! that song is the best song on master of puppets!
-hetfield forgets about rehab and decks fanboy-

That was extremely cool live

fatbandit 07-19-2005 08:14 AM

Yes, but distorted slapping = eww...

:smash:

Thor 07-19-2005 08:22 AM
Yes, but distorted slapping = eww...

Agreed. I've tried it before and it doesn't even sound like a note, it just sounds like random noise. Don't do it, kids. It's just not cool.

Joe 07-19-2005 08:27 AM

Well it sounded pretty cool on stage

I have 99 Metallica songs on my media player. let's see... I need one more... (at least)

Lemme count mine.

Okay i got 270 items in Metallica but that's videos, live material and covers.
Four leaf Clover
Should I be ashamed that it took me over seven hours to even catch that mistake?

I like it,it's pretty creative, I mean it's a new way of Master of Puppets, even if it is only the first minute. I don't think they were trying to show off that they can play Metallica, I mean as you said who can't. They're a pretty talented band all around.
