wut? You took out the allen wrench bolts and the locking trem part fully, or did you just loosen them?
yeah ... took out the screws completely, and the locking nut thing won't come off ... not for the E B, G D, or A E.

Sad But True 01-11-2010 10:42 AM

So lod, I need to go and move my car because it's currently situated outside someone's house at the moment. See I had to park it there because I came back from my parent's house to my uni accommodation at about 3pm, completely forgetting it was a school day! Why is this pertinent you ask? Because the road leading to my accommodation is not only very narrow, but also has a primary school located on it. So Not only could I not get a parking space on the road by my place, but I had to negotiate my way through children and parked cars to dump my car somewhere just so I could get inside.

But anyway I really should go and move my car before it gets dark but I'm also really hungry having only eaten a bowl of Sugar Puffs today because there was no decent food in at my parent's house. So I'm kinda torn between moving my car or making some food, but then after eating I have to do revision for exams I've got coming up; early modern europe and reading literature. But they're not till friday and wednesday so I might revise later and just chow down for now. But it's getting dark so I should go move my car.

These exams are really annoying, I hate unseen exams. I mean I know they're better for telling whether a student is actually any good rather than just regurgitating what they've revised but in some ways it's unfair to people who don't work well under pressure. Exams exams college college something something girls Ibanez college something something.

Mentally unstable people driving race cars.
Oh great.

The story about his wife, Renee. It's actually pretty sad.
She cleaned out her bank account and sold all her stuff in order to finance this nutbags Daytona dream.

Sad But True 01-11-2010 03:43 PM

I can't think of two things I could possibly care less about than religion and NASCAR. Luckily that guy put them in the same place so I only have to avoid one website.

Holy shit (pun intended) I've just read the section about his wife and basically it seems he convinced this woman to marry him because 'God said so', then sold off/gave away all her possessions to fund his NASCAR dream because 'God said so', sent her 15 year old daughter to the Philippines as a missionary, became a hobo for 4 years and basically ruined this woman's life because 'God said so'.

hahaha
Ladies, if you ever want to understand obedience and laying your life down for God, this is a perfect example of a biblical woman with a true spirit of Jesus Christ living in her.
God=NASCAR.

El-Ahrairah 01-11-2010 04:37 PM

I hate those religious nutters with a passion. If they only ruin their own life it's ok, but for ****'s sake, sending a 15 year-old girl to the Philippines alone, thats just stupid.

Bet he's one of those anti-evolutionists, I hope he dies from mutated bacteria that became immune to antibiotics.

Aes820 01-11-2010 05:17 PM

God = NASCAR
NASCAR is real, therefore God is real.
Checkmate, atheists.

Left Face Down 01-11-2010 07:52 PM

This reminds me of an episode of campus cops I watched, out of boredom and laziness of not changing the channel. They had one of those crazy people in the "free speech" area of this college's campus, saying that women should do anything their husband says or they should go to hell.

Of course the college students were, "what about husbands who beat their wives, kill their wives?" Though he kept saying if their husbands are beating their wives it is because God told them to do so.

All I had on my college campus were the crazy religious people who literally told us we were going to hell, "because God forbids higher education."

mnemonic II 01-11-2010 08:08 PM

theres one corner on the edge of the university center here where like 3 seperate paths meet, so most people walk past that one corner, and theres always people setting up tables with pamphlets of random stuff.

the bible people are the worst, because they acutally try to stop you and talk to you, stfu i'm on my way to class

Left Face Down 01-11-2010 08:24 PM

My college had "Free Speech Alley", a small section of the path which was in front of the school's main student building. Each school has a different name for said building practically, but where the Post Office/School Book Buy place/etc. is.

I usually avoided it at most costs. Though for some reason I always had the Christian Baptists e-mail me. They some how found out I am Christian Baptist, and my e-mail... still not sure how.

Though I mean the humanist had set up a table where you could bring your Bible and trade them for "humanistic papers." Of course I got an e-mail from the Baptists which were like, "let us go pray at the end of Free Speech Alley for these people who are clearly driven by Satan."

I mean, you pretty much want to print out a giant face-palm picture and put it in between the two. I am by no means a humanist, but like most things I find myself in the middle cringing at what the people on the far end of each side say some days.

i love in assassins creed where if ur somewhere high and u jump or fall i genuinly flinch and brace myself for a hard fall, its soo cool when it happens when oddly terrifying
i love in assassins creed where if ur somewhere high and u jump or fall i genuinly flinch and brace myself for a hard fall, its soo cool when it happens when oddly terrifying
I too often experience this in games. Playing Forza 3, when I take a bad turn and slide across the grass towards some wall at 100 m.p.h. (of course not irl) I like brace for impact. Even if I don't end up hitting the wall, it is usually accompanied by "oh ****!" and me bracing for impact.

The manual w/ clutch is very entertaining in Forza 3, though I'm like working through the F/E/D races learning how to play (I've always just used automatic) while the game is forcing me to go for the R3 championship.

They should have made the season play a little slower. First year E championship, second C, third A, fourth R3. I was lvl 22, didn't even have an R3 car, when I hit my 4th year.

P.S. - I go back to automatic when I do the R3 races, other wise I just spin my damn tires up into like 3rd gear.

Blue_Moon 01-11-2010 09:31 PM

same with froza, i use the driver seat view 90% of the time, pretty cool when u do it in that too, but i am sitting 5 feet from a 40" hd tv its mad cool

manual gears is to taxing in forza 3 well with the cluth its just insanely ott

i jus stick to auto, but its pretty cool, u can do the fast races pretty fast in the season, then when you go back to the slow ones there so easy im on driver level 50 and into the hardcore races, pretty cool

Left Face Down 01-11-2010 09:42 PM

I think I'm lvl 38 now... maybe 37. I just got like my first R2 car, though I'm pretty sure when I finish the 4th year (I'm in the 2 weeks prior to the last race) it is going to give me R1 for 5th year Championship. Is there anything above R1? I've forgotten, so it would have to give me R2 wouldn't it?

I'm wondering what is going to happen when it runs out of championships up, am I going to be like 6th year racing F Championship?
same with froza, i use the driver seat view 90% of the time, pretty cool when u do it in that too, but i am sitting 5 feet from a 40" hd tv its mad cool
I've always liked the in-car views, at least I can't really race when I can see the whole car on my screen. I've always used the kind of front bumper view if an in-car view wasn't available. My friends all think I'm insane, they're like how the hell do you play like that?

I play down stairs on my parents 46" HDTV, sitting like 3 feet away, love it. Though Forza needs to learn how to incorporate things fully. They don't have any shift animations when you're in the cockpit view, and when you look fully to the side or rear view when in cockpit view your "cockpit view" disappears.

Even as a Grand Turismo fan who just wants GT5 out, but even GT5P had in-car view where if you looked back you saw a back window and such. Forza has at least become a respectable simulation racer, as Forza 1 was lulz. I always called it "Forza Motor-sports: The real damage simulator."

Without a doubt it is a good thing to collect evidence and to formulate an opinion before you go HAH I BELIEVE IN ____, but to endlessly perch yourself in the middle ground of a topic because you think it is somehow more rational and respectable is cowardly.
tbh staying in the middle of the debate for some self-described sense of "reason" is as pathetic as being extreme on either side.
So I have to choose between being an humanist and believing that their is no such thing as a God or I have to believe that if a woman speaks back to me I can slap her up side the face, because good women don't disobey their husbands.

Though lets face it, I have a higher education so I'm going to hell already for that. Which kind of means I guess I have to be a humanist, as it has the biggest benefits. Though if I'm a humanist and their is no God, I can be as religious as I want because their is no such thing as a God, Heaven, or Hell. So why would I care that my woman disobeyed me because she isn't going to hell for it, and I don't have to slap her upside the head for doing so as God doesn't exist.

It is all becoming clear now!

Haha nicely done.

LFD: No. You don't have to pick an extreme, just don't sit in the middle because you think it's the rational thing to do. Go with whatever you want but do it because that's what you believe not because it seems more rational.

"Not being an extreme doesn't mean you are fence sitting."
No-one said it was, but you were very much on the fence in your earlier post.

Left Face Down 01-13-2010 05:39 AM

Well I just see myself maybe to the closure of center on the side of religion, but most religious people are about half way between me and the crazy bastards that say blow every one up if they don't believe in your God and you will get 50k virgins from your God when you get to heaven. Though we all know their aren't that many virgins left in the world, unless you count those under the age of about 10.
