so yeah now I get to rofl at 10 different kiddies quoting a lyric they've never even heard before
|
I know who it is, but I will not name drop.
War metal and iron crosses
...my mind goes somewhere but I'm not sure at all. Does it start with R? :\ |
Yeah, that's my job in here you bitch you better don't
Don't worry, if I did name drop it would actually be a band worth hearing
...my mind goes somewhere but I'm not sure at all. Does it start with R? :\
No, try again |

they're black metal (mostly) so don't worry about it. |
Necros Christos FTW \m/
|
I was this close to buying Altars Of Madness tonight for $9.99.

What else did you get instead? |
Yeah, why didn't you get it?
|
That's a great album.
|
Probably some shitty grindcore, but seriously, why didn't you buy it?
|
I got In The Nightside Eclipse and De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas instead.
|
Hahaha, two complete wastes.
|
Nunca. But next time I get Altars of Madness and possibly Focus.
|
I've listened to ITNE twice in my life and DMDS once.
I've listened to Altars of Madness hundreds of times. |
You got some good albums, the others are better though.
|
I can't pass judgement on either, since I havn't finshed either of them all the way through yet, but I have Covenant which I have also listened to alot and Blessed Are The Sick, which I have listened to twice.
|
Covenant sucks with the exception of Angel of Disease. Which was written back in '86
|
I love Covenant.
|
Only the first two were good, and Abominations.
|
Abominations should have been released widely before Altars, Blessed, and Covenant.
|
Hahaha, two complete wastes.
i could see DMDS being a waste even though i love that album but ITNE is extremely good. and covenant is awesome i listened to it tonight at work and ive heard it about a million times before it doesnt get old for me |
Same here. Rapture and God Of Emptiness are amazing.
I love DMDS so far. ITNE is 4.5 for me. I was so close to givin' it that 5, but I need to analize it a few more times to make a final decision. |

DMDS for me is a 4 because it is great but still is not classic and ITNE is a 4.5 due to it being an extremely great album. i have to say ITNE didn't sound good the first 2 or 3 listens. |
I loved it, but so far I think DMDS has it beat. DMDS is just so good to my ears for some reason. This might be the 6th 5 I've ever rated!

A video I made. Even Winnie the Pooh loves Necrophagist:

lol! Brilliant!
I was wondering what the hell you were on for the first 10 seconds. |
STEP INTO THE IRON COFFIN
I love this. If you're unsure what to post: then post metal lyrics in big font! Digging up corpses from remote graves Deathmasks fill every space on the wall Walking through the house dressed in human skin Wearing them for hours for peculiar thrills |
Jondur, when you get your distro up, will you be carrying cassettes by any chance?
|
That's awesome, congrats on that man.
I listened to your stuff on the 'space, pretty damn good.

I checked you guys out on myspace as well. You guys don't mess around! Keep up the good work!

you guys do sound pretty good what instrument do you play for them (Torn Apart)?
Thanks alot guys! I do the vocals in the band, but I do some guitarparts here and there, mostly when we are writing. |
hail Jondur!
Altars of Madness is 100 times better than anything mentioned on the last two pages, I can't believe that kid didn't pick it up. |
Anybody like Covenance?
|
Jondur, when you get your distro up, will you be carrying cassettes by any chance?
Highly unlikely to be honest. Does anyone still release tapes? Does anyone (apart from you obviously) buy them? even I'd rather have a CD rather than a tape. |

lots of demos are still tapes. |
I can almost count 10 distros off the top of my head that carry tapes. They're actually a lot more popular than they're made out to be, but I was just wondering anyway.
|
You know me - I look back to the old days of metal as much as anyone but does anyone seriously wish there were more tapes around? I've got huge boxes stuffed to the brim with tapes and half of them sound like crap now because of being overplayed. I tried to listen to Seance "Levitised Spirit" last night and it sounds like it's being played underwater.
And Nostalgia: Your point about the number of distros carrying tapes (and therefore ultra-underground stuff) is a good one. I have no wish to compete with them. I am opening a shop which will be supplemented by mailorder - this will be my sole source of income and therefore I will be mainly be stocking more mainstream stuff - basically the grey area between HMV and the specialist distros. |
I prefer mp3's on my iPod over tapes, they never go bad. I guess I'm new school like that.
|
Nah mp3 files also get corrupted.
My main love is still CDs. J.S. Bach - Toccata En Fugue In D Minor \m/ |
