wardrobe malfunction 08-13-2004 09:05 PM

I guess I got VERY lucky.

Foxfire 08-13-2004 09:05 PM
I think it's in Arlington heights. It's by Woodfield.
GAH what the hell, I went there and they said they didn't have any. :(

Guess I'll have to go sometime.

wardrobe malfunction 08-13-2004 09:07 PM

Well someone ordered one the night before and they got it from a different store.

Foxfire 08-13-2004 09:10 PM

Ohhh okay. Then that's understandable.

6-string basses = unpopular. FRETLESS 6-string basses = impossible to find at Guitar Center.

I'm not that pissed, though. When I graduate this year I'd like a Conklin GT-7, anyhow, and then see if I can't find a used Warwick Corvette 6er. *shrug*

I wish I lived in Chicago to talk to you guys :upset:

BFAG, IM me on AIM ASAP, I gotta explain something to you about what happened earlier tonight

I'm sure that if you lived in Chicago you'd go to the top school here and I'd know you through friends. ;)

At the moment my friend is the best bassist at the school, and there's only two other good bassists, and only one of the six bassists there (my friend included) plays a 5-string; there's nothing more? I'ma be the first 6+ player :D

He said there are kids there (the nerdy kids :p) that picked up bass to be cool.

Why the HELL would you pick bass if you wanted to be cool?

:upset:

wardrobe malfunction 08-13-2004 09:14 PM

All the bass players at my school suck.

;p

Later.

In my opinion, though, if you wanted to be cool you'd pick guitar. Seems like common sense to me.

He he was really energetic. The Classic guitarist of Yonder is amazing at fingerpicking. But the Madolinist has got some crazy skill.

Ibanez30 08-13-2004 09:24 PM

Hey Im bored and new to this site so I thought Id reply here. Ehhemm *clears throat* Im canadian, 16, and i play guitar for about 1 1/2 years n bass for like half a year. Is anyone into Paul Reed Smith guitars? Im looking into gettin one but I dunno what they sound/feel like, or how expensive they are.

Foxfire 08-13-2004 09:25 PM

Ohhh PRS. I totally forgot about them. *is bass surfing at the moment*

And your best bet is to try to find one and try it out.

Ibanez30 08-13-2004 09:27 PM

Yeah I just play an Ibanez AX guitar and a ibanez bass now, but I wanna find something different and I was lookin around the net n found PRS. A lot of big bands use them and I hope theyre not toomuch $$.

I have two basses at the moment, a Jay Turser P-Copy and a Cort Curbow 4.

I LOVE THE CURBOW TO DEATH. Cost me $400 and is a wonderful bass.

Bass+Fingers+Amp=Groove 08-13-2004 09:30 PM

no we are bassists so i dont think many of us are into PRS guitars.

santana plays one though, and i love santana...

To BFAG:Oh Ive ridden that several times actually.

Ibanez30 08-13-2004 09:40 PM

My bad... didnt know she was a girl. Is chicago actually a windy city?

Bass+Fingers+Amp=Groove 08-13-2004 09:40 PM

I got my stuff all packed up to move into the dorms, its coming up. :D

Foxfire 08-13-2004 09:40 PM

Trains are so cool.

BFAG could be the super l33t train conductor that conducted a magical train that could fly, and break into Guitar Centers to get high end basses.

Sounds like a kid's show, eh?

Bass+Fingers+Amp=Groove 08-13-2004 09:41 PM

Yes, but the name comes from the polititians of yesterday. wind bags. ;)

e p 08-13-2004 09:41 PM
My bad... didnt know she was a girl. Is chicago actually a windy city?
The skyscraper and buildings sometimes creat a wind tunnel effect at times.

The Lake wind is very intense being that it can blow for miles with nothing to stop it.

Yes at times but it really depends.

Foxfire 08-13-2004 09:42 PM
My bad... didnt know she was a girl. Is chicago actually a windy city?
Only sometimes.

In the Winter it's warm. In the Spring it's hot. In the Summer it's hot. In the Fall it's warm. (At least last year ;p it's been sorta coldish this Summer *shrug*)It's windy all throughout the year, whenever it wants to be. ;) Weather tends to be irritatingly random, since we're right on Lake Michigan.

Don't worry Heather. I am here now. I had a long day at work. That sucks that you have to move. Will you still be visiting the forums?

I've had to move way too many times to count. I was already in the double digits by the time I was seven. Biggest culture shock was moving from Utah to Southern California. Im gonna go back and read the rest of the thread now.

Hi Everyone.
