Sunny day?

Or you're bipolar.

Either way you'll in a bad mood soon enough:wave:

It's a sunny day, but I don't think that's it. We've been having plenty of them lately.

I'm probably not bipolar.

I didn't. :upset:

But speaking of that, what's the best way to approach a girl you haven't spoken to? She works right around the corner from where I do, seen her a few times, acknowledged the existence of the other. I've just never seen her outside of her work (some gay salon/woman beautification place).

Epidemechanical 05-13-2009 04:03 PM

girls like being approached by:

1) confidence
2) strength of conversation
3) disconnection
4) being a dick (but do so in a charismatic way not in a mean way)

girls do not like being approached by

1) weaklings
2) shyness
3) embarrassed guys
4) pansy guys

there you go

Epidemechanical 05-13-2009 04:04 PM

i usually open initiations with females by commenting on some part of their appearance

"you'd look really good if you lost a few pounds from your thighs"

WHAT OMG LOL UR SO MEEN /playful shove

done deal.

Spaceman Spiff 05-13-2009 04:35 PM

I just need an un-retarded way to walk into her work.

*in security uniform* "Hi, I'm the stripper you ordered for the party. Who's the lucky lady getting married?"

I doubt that one would work... :p

Epidemechanical 05-13-2009 05:56 PM

im serious dude be a dick a girl will instantly want to **** you just to make herself feel better about herself

go out of your way to insult her

she'll think

"he went out of his way to insult me. i have to **** him now to show him how wrong he is."

Gattsu347 05-13-2009 06:15 PM

Try this:

"Hi. How are you?"

Moon Flavor 05-13-2009 08:00 PM

"hi"
"hi"
"how's it going"
"good"

"..."

^the bane of the not-very-confident man :(

Spaceman Spiff 05-13-2009 08:09 PM

"It's good to be good."

Gattsu347 05-13-2009 08:10 PM

OK, seriously, listen to these three covers, and then tell me that they're not all tasteful and well-orchestrated... and mean it.

Now if you ask her if she's seen your friend then make up some description
and she'll be like no I haven't seen him then you can just be like we've been playing hide and seek for like a week now and this mfers got me stumped... So what are you doing later...

fatbandit 05-14-2009 10:51 AM

Hmm. Well I don't know what to buy now. I get paid £270 tomorrow after tax has eaten away like £70 -_-

I have horrendous amounts of gear to buy, but I don't know what to buy from 'the list'. Might get one of those new stageclix wireless systems. They look neat.

FunkMetalBass 05-14-2009 04:37 PM

Well, I got a trade offer for my Conklin GTBD-7. It's a mid-90's Carvin LB76 in great condition with a hardshell case.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2rdzhQtKpI

Whatcha think? Should I do it? I'm very tempted. I don't play the Conklin anymore and the Carvin has the Wilkinson bridge, ebony fretboard, 18V active EQ, and Sperzel Locking tuners.

fatbandit 05-14-2009 04:41 PM

But the Conklin is a nice bass.

FunkMetalBass 05-14-2009 04:58 PM

I really don't care for the Barts. They don't have enough bite.

The tone in those stacked humbuckers on the Carvin is awesome. I am thoroughly impressed with it thus far.

Plus, since I never play the Conklin and I'm looking for another 6 to use on stage with me band, why not?

If I need that high F, I'll just use my 8-string.

Have you ever played a carvin? My dad has one of their guitars and it's just incredibly smooth to play and has such a good tone. My dad's been playing 20+ years and he says it's the best guitar he's owned.

If I ever see a carvin bass used at a shop I would love to play it but I've never had the pleasure :(

e: whoa sextuple post^^^ dumbass

Sablate McNuff 05-14-2009 09:03 PM

I played a used fretless 6er missing the high c-string in guitar center one time. The neck looks ridiculously thin (sweet) and the tone is so punchy and versatile (if you listen to the video).

Cramboli 05-14-2009 09:08 PM
