Dorms are just so damn convenient.

superpeer 08-22-2007 08:51 PM

I live at home. :(

Our unis don't have dorms, because were a tiny country. You can rent appartments near the university, but my parents said it was too expensive and pointless since I live like 20, 30 minutes away.
How do you like it so far?

/moves back to school on friday and cannot wait :)

EDIT: Just saw your last post. It will get better dude. Go to parties the first few weeks and join clubs. You'll have friends in no time and the time of your life.
you don't even need to do this all you need to do is leave your door open and talk to people in class and you'll make friends.

Kage 08-22-2007 08:53 PM

I've met some hot babes already.

But I'm glad to be back on mx.

Seriously - I was really nervous about living off-campus and even now that I've made the decision I'm still really unsure about it. It'll be a lot more hassle :/.

Deth 08-22-2007 08:55 PM

My university is #3 on Playboy's Hottest colleges list. Beat that.

Permanent Solution 08-22-2007 08:55 PM

word of advice: don't go after babes for the first month of college; wait and see who sleeps around so much you'd probably get stds and avoid that **** like the plague. every floor has a few at least.

Eliminator 08-22-2007 08:57 PM

Deth 08-22-2007 08:58 PM

Whoops, I'm mistaken. It's really high on the list though.

Education's great too! Engineering program is fantastic and they're lyke bff with NASA and Kennedy Space Center.

Skyler 08-22-2007 08:59 PM

Kage 08-22-2007 08:59 PM

Permanent Solution 08-22-2007 09:02 PM

Hehehe oh freshmen.

superpeer 08-22-2007 09:02 PM

I hardly talk to anyone at uni. I'm shy.

Kage 08-22-2007 09:03 PM

I've been talking to people but only because I've been forced to. :)_
Sausage fest.
I know you are jealous :p

The one good thing about dorms, is that you meet so many people. You probably wont talk to half of them after the first introductory conversation though. Most of my good friends are from my dorm suite and the other rooms on my floor.

University of Central Florida, it's about 20 minutes away from Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral. About the same distance to Disney World as well :)

Kage 08-22-2007 09:05 PM

Oh I lived in the Houston Space Center NASA stuff, nvmd.

You shouldn't be afriad to talk to your neighbors and kids in your classes, you'll make good friends that way. Don't bother talking to people at parties though, people you meet once aren't worth the effort.

Deth: wots your major?

Is that the Gainsville campus? If so, I looked at that school when my parents thought about moving to florida two years ago.

Kage 08-22-2007 09:13 PM

I don't really care about having friends.

tribestros 08-22-2007 09:13 PM

I've really been digging good metal lately, can anyone take a look at my profile, see what type of metal I'd like, and suggest me some good metal?

Permanent Solution 08-22-2007 09:14 PM

You will.

Not often, but you will.

Make a few.

Kage 08-22-2007 09:14 PM

I have actually. A fellow Lynch fan or two.
I don't really care about having friends.
Permanent Solution 08-22-2007 09:16 PM

You're all set then ^_^

Being totally alone at school sucks =\
