Lately, articles and series threads haven't been doing well. I'm surprised people still do them.
Tell that to my first three article-esque threads :upset:

I still think that those two are doing just fine, really.

One time, I bumped my Bob Seger thread just for kicks, and one person posted in it asking why there were YSI links, haha.

Shadows 12-10-2005 01:23 PM

I never make threads. The closest thing I've ever gotten to a real thread was any of my CD reviews under the old format. Even then I only had a few that got many posts. My Dimmu Borgir thread dies pretty quickly, and it would've disappeared much quicker if I hadn't posted every available moment to keep it alive.

Joe 12-10-2005 01:25 PM

My first thread was the opinions of people on who they think is the greatest guitarist, besides jimi hendrix. Oh the good old days...

I haven't made a real thread in ages. They've just been like little stories in the political forums or asking a question in the jam session. My Dire Straits one and Eric Clapton one died after about 150 posts.

Stormrider 12-10-2005 01:25 PM
and it would've disappeared much quicker if I hadn't posted every available moment to keep it alive.
I try to keep my Blind Guardian thread alive with a bump here and there, but it lasts for 2 posts and thet goes back to the 5th page of R&M.

The only succesful thrread Ive made is My Iced Earth one.

Bling Gaurdian... wtf, they didn't sample Blind Gaurdian for rap now did they...

the2stranger 12-10-2005 01:27 PM

all bands I like either already have a thread, or are too small to have a thread about it that doesn't die after a day.

:(

np: Trails Of Anguish - ...And A Desolated Trails Of Anguish

Yeah, we made the news again!!??

They came here first a month or so ago. Black gangs from all over the place came and caused a huge riot. We were on national news because of this "North Toledo Riot".

The nazis didn't get a chance to march through like they had planned, so they scheduled to come back today.

Neurotoxin 12-10-2005 01:38 PM

Do you actually use 800 x 600 resolution?!

Shadows 12-10-2005 01:38 PM

I don't know, let me check.

Why?

EDIT: Yeah, I use 800 x 600.

Joe 12-10-2005 01:39 PM

YES! Jom, finally someone (you) did a thing on Barenaked Ladies.

Jom 12-10-2005 01:42 PM

Yeah, it was a long time coming, really. Hopefully this will make it to twenty posts this time, much unlike my other threads.

Joe 12-10-2005 01:42 PM
Yeah, it was a long time coming, really.
Sweet. I'd have to say BNL is one of my top favorite bands. I actually don't think I have any of their music on this computer... :amaze:

Nevermind, just Brian Wilson is on here.

Shouldn't that be in Pop-punk?

No reason, really... I personally can't stand it.

Joe 12-10-2005 01:46 PM
Shouldn't that be in Pop-punk?
Nope, because they're not. The first part of the write up says they don't really belong in any certain genre. I think they're more rock than pop-punk.

Jom 12-10-2005 01:48 PM

Well, the Pop-Punk forum is labeled extremely weird.
For discussion of the pop-punk and pop-rock genres.
It just seems weird to see BNL amongst Blink-182 and Green Day and The Offspring threads.

I can make an argument for BNL being rock, but certainly not metal, heh.

I don't like them :).

I shall troll that review :).

adios.

Why not? Anything higher and all the windows look extremely small and the screen is set out of proportion. Maybe it's just the way my computer is set up.

I'm at 1024 x 768. Anything less or more would make my screen look weird. It's normal on this screen.

You knew I was kidding :p

I quite like the odd song I have heard.

the2stranger 12-10-2005 02:05 PM

So it's evening here, and I'm going out to a bar in a bit.

anyone else got plans?

800 x 600 is normal for me. The screen looks intolerably wierd on anything else.

Ollie can appreciate my Now Playing.
